পূর্ব মেদিনীপুর জেলার তালপাটি ঘাট উপকূল থানার অন্তর্গত হিজলি এলাকায় সম্ভাব্য বৈদ্যুতিক শর্ট সার্কিটের কারণে মোট ২৫টি দোকান (যার মধ্যে ১৩টি হিন্দু সম্প্রদায় এবং ১২টি মুসলিম সম্প্রদায়ের অন্তর্গত) ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছে। ঘটনাস্থল পরিদর্শনের জন্য ফরেন্সিক বিশেষজ্ঞদের ডাকা হয়েছে। এখনও পর্যন্ত কোনও হতাহত বা আহত হওয়ার খবর নেই। তবে এ বিষয়ে একটি নির্দিষ্ট মামলা রুজু করা হয়েছে এবং তদন্ত প্রক্রিয়া চলছে।

ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত দোকান মালিকদের সহায়তায় জেলা প্রশাসন প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করছে। অনুগ্রহ করে এই ঘটনাকে সাম্প্রদায়িক বা রাজনৈতিক ঘটনা হিসেবে প্রচার করা থেকে বিরত থাকুন।

25 shops (13 belong to the Hindu Community & 12 of the Muslim Community) have been badly affected at Hijli under Talpati Ghat Coastal PS, Dist- Purba Medinipur, most likely due to an electric short circuit. Forensic Scientists have been called to visit the place of occurrence. There is no report of any casuality or injury to any person. However, a specific case has been started. The investigation proceeds.
