Humanity is measured by whom we protect.

The true measure of humanity lies in how we care for those who are most vulnerable. Every act of kindness, every helping hand, and every voice raised for justice brings us closer to a more compassionate world.

On World Humanitarian Day, Sri Arunodayam honours the unwavering commitment of caregivers, volunteers, and humanitarian workers who dedicate their lives to protecting and uplifting others.

Because compassion has the power to change lives.

Truth has a future. It’s young.

Young people have the courage to question, the passion to create, and the determination to build a better tomorrow. When they are empowered with opportunities and guidance, they become the changemakers our world needs.

On International Youth Day, Sri Arunodayam celebrates the strength, resilience, and potential of every young person striving to shape a more inclusive and compassionate future.

Embracing Work with Dignity, Every Day

Skills are like seeds. When nurtured with care, they grow into confidence, opportunity and independence.

At Prayatna, Sri Arunodayam’s vocational training initiative, young adults with intellectual disabilities learn meaningful trades through hands-on experience in tailoring, dairy farming and sustainable agriculture.

They learn to cut, stitch and finish products. They care for animals with empathy and responsibility. They work with the earth, understanding that growth requires patience and perseverance.

But the transformation goes far beyond vocational skills.

With encouragement, structured guidance and a focus on ability rather than disability, our trainees build discipline, self-worth and a stronger sense of belonging. They take on large orders, participate in product stalls, manage their earnings through individual bank accounts and begin imagining independent futures of their own.

Since 2012, Prayatna has been creating pathways to dignity—one skill, one milestone and one good effort at a time.

Because when opportunity is matched with determination, lives can take a new direction.

SMA Doesn't Wait. Neither Should We.

Every child deserves the chance to grow, move, and thrive. For children living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), early diagnosis, timely intervention, and continued care can make a life-changing difference.

During Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Awareness Month, Sri Arunodayam stands with children, families, and caregivers, advocating for greater awareness, access to care, and hope for every child affected by SMA.

Because early action can change lives.

Celebrating International Yoga Day 2026 at Sri Arunodayam
This year, Sri Arunodayam celebrated International Yoga Day across both our Boys and Girls Homes, bringing together children and staff in a moment of calm, balance, and well-being.

Through simple yoga practices and guided sessions, our children experienced the benefits of:
• Improved focus and concentration
• Physical flexibility and strength
• Inner calm and emotional balance

The sessions were filled with positivity, participation, and smiles—reminding us that well-being is for everyone, and every small step matters.

At Sri Arunodayam, we believe that activities like yoga play an important role in nurturing both body and mind, helping our children grow with confidence and strength.

A healthy mind in a healthy body — for a brighter tomorrow.
