As part of the 37th , PIU Puducherry, under RO-Chennai, NHAI, conducted a series of awareness programmes. Reflective stickers were pasted on bicycles, mopeds and tractors.
At Kothattai fee plaza the Government Arts and Science College students and the police inspector of Auroville participated. Another event was held at Morattandi fee plaza at Thiruchitrambalam Kootroad, Vanur Taluk in Villupuram district in the Puducherry to Tindivanam section of NH-32(old NH-66).

As part of the 37th , PIU Puducherry, under RO-Chennai, NHAI, conducted a series of awareness programmes. Students at Government High School in Katrampakkam in along NH-32 (old NH-66) took a pledge to observe road safety. Medical and eye camps were held at Seliyamedu fee plaza in the 4-laning of Puducherry to Poondiyankuppam section of NH-32 (old NH-45A). Flyers were distributed to road users to encourage safe driving practices.

As part of the 37th , PIU-Chennai, under RO-Chennai, NHAI organised comprehensive health and eye check-up camps for truck drivers & road users at the Nallur and Mathur Toll Plazas on NH-16 and Chennai Ennore Port Road. By ensuring the vision and health of the drivers is promoting safer driving practices and reducing accidents.

As part of the 37th , PIU Krishnagiri, under RO-Chennai, NHAI identified accident-prone zones and major junctions along the Krishnagiri-Walajahpet section of NH-48. Safety flyers were distributed along the stretch to educate road users on safe driving practices.
Awareness was created among local vendors on road safety, the importance of keeping National Highways free of stalls and following legal guidelines to ensure the personal safety and safe movement of road users.

Through various programmes NHAI has been reiterating the importance of safety on roads. PIU Puducherry, under NHAI’s Chennai regional office, conducted a medical camp for its employees at Gangarampalayam fee plaza in the 4-laning of Villupuram to Puducherry section of NH-332 (Old NH-45A).
In Kaniyur fee plaza near Palladam PIU Coimbatore, also under NHAI’s RO Chennai, on NH-544 (old NH-47) the IVRCL Chengapally Tollways Limited team checked the driving licence of vehicle users and distributed pamphlets on road safety as part of ’s ongoing programmes.
