On the afternoon of September 03, 2026 Director General Stephen S. C. Hsu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC) in Chennai, was pleased to meet Dr. Amos Gamaleal David, Global Education Officer, Higher Education Centre, Panimalar Engineering College to explore potential opportunities for academic collaboration between Taiwan and South India.

駐清奈辦事處許書智處長很高興在2026年9月3日與臺灣的中國信託銀行資深經理紀永宏見面，雖然雙方工作性質不同，但大家討論如何為在南印度投資的臺商提供更多高品質的服務，一起強化臺灣經貿實力的目標是一致的。

Director-General Stephen Hsu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center (TECC) in Chennai was delighted to meet with Mr. Bruce Chi, Senior Manager of CTBC Bank, Taiwan, on September 3, 2026.

Although we come from different professional backgrounds and have different roles to play, we share the same goal: to provide better and higher-quality services to Taiwanese businesses investing and operating in South India, and to work together to strengthen Taiwan’s economic and trade capabilities.

By combining our respective strengths and expertise, TECC-Chennai and Taiwan’s financial institutions can continue to support Taiwanese companies in South India and contribute to deeper and stronger Taiwan–India economic and business ties.

駐清奈辦事處許書智處長在2026年9月1日很高興與「印度工業總會南印分處」主席Ravichandran Purushothaman及國際部主管Anitha Vasudevan女士會面，雙方進一步討論未來臺灣與南印度的具體合作方向，以及交換未來加強雙邊關係的想法。

Ravi主席非常認同許處長率先提出的「臺灣設計，泰米爾那都州製造」（Design from Taiwan, Make in Tamil Nadu）未來黃金十年願景，雙方並就如何將此一願景轉化為可能，深入交換意見，提出許多具體且富有建設性的建議，為深化臺灣與泰米爾那都州產業合作攜手努力。

印度工業總會的角色就像在臺灣的「中華民國全國工業總會」，將可扮演印度未來經濟發展的重要角色。只要有好的合作機會，清奈辦事處願意積極與CII合作，共同創造雙贏。

On September 1, 2026, Director-General Stephen S.C. Hsu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Chennai (TECC-Chennai) was delighted to meet with Mr. Ravichandran Purushothaman, Chairman of the Southern Region of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII-SR), and Ms. Anitha Vasudevan, Head of the International Division of CII-SR.

During the meeting, both sides further discussed concrete areas for future cooperation between Taiwan and South India and exchanged views on ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand mutually beneficial partnerships.

Chairman Ravi highly agreed with DG Hsu's vision for the next golden decade, "Design from Taiwan, Make in Tamil Nadu." Both sides exchanged in-depth views on how to turn this vision into a reality, and put forward many concrete and constructive suggestions to work together to deepen industrial cooperation between Taiwan and Tamil Nadu.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), whose role is comparable to that of the Chinese National Federation of Industries (CNFI) in Taiwan, can play an important role in India’s future economic development and in promoting stronger industry-to-industry cooperation.

TECC-Chennai stands ready to actively work with CII whenever promising opportunities arise, with the shared goal of creating win-win outcomes and a stronger, more prosperous partnership between Taiwan and South India.
