TIDCO announces its first investments under the TIDCO Startup Investment Policy 2025, marking a key milestone in strengthening Tamil Nadu’s deep-tech and innovation ecosystem.
Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) will invest ₹25 crore each in AgniKul Cosmos and Raptee Energy, two pioneering startups in the space technology and electric mobility sectors.
For over six decades, TIDCO has played a major role in shaping Tamil Nadu’s industrial landscape, partnering in 130+ landmark ventures. As it repositions itself as a venture catalyst, TIDCO is expanding its mandate to support high-potential startups through structured venture investments.
The TIDCO Startup Investment Policy 2025 provides patient capital and institutional support to startups from early-stage innovation to scale and expansion, across sunrise sectors including EVs, renewable energy, aerospace & defence, semiconductors, AI, blockchain, quantum computing, agro-processing and speciality chemicals.
AgniKul Cosmos, a Chennai-based spacetech startup, is building next-generation launch vehicles and 3D-printed rocket engines to enable affordable access to space.
Raptee Energy is developing high-performance electric motorcycles for global markets, combining advanced engineering with sustainable mobility.
The approval letters were handed over by Honourable Industries Minister Dr.T.R.B Rajaa, reaffirming the Government of Tamil Nadu’s commitment under the leadership of Honourable Chief Minister Thiru. MK Stalin—to position the State as a global hub for innovation-led manufacturing and deep-tech entrepreneurship.
