Central Institute of Classical Tamil Welcome to the Official page of Central Institute of Classical Tamil (CICT), Chennai The Institute has mapped out various plans:

Preparation of definitive editions of forty-one Classical Tamil texts
2. Translation of those works into English and other major European languages as well as into many leading Indian languages
3. Making of visual episodes on classical Tamil language, literature, epigraphy and architecture
4. Development of material for the online teaching of Tamil
5. Writing of a historical grammar of Tamil
6. Un

dertaking diachronic and synchronic studies of Tamil dialects
7. Creation of a corpus of classical Tamil texts
8. Establishment of a digital library
9. Comparative Study of Tamil, Dravidian and other family of languages
10. Promotion of multidisciplinary research in classical Tamil
All of these will address the antiquity and uniqueness of Tamil.

செம்மொழித் தமிழாய்வு மத்திய நிறுவனத்தில் மலேசியத் தமிழாசிரியர்களுக்குத் தமிழ் இலக்கணம் கற்பித்தல் பயிலரங்கம் 01.06.2026 முதல் 05.06.2026 வரை நடைபெற்றது. இன்று (05.06.2026) நடைபெற்ற இப்பயிலரங்க நிறைவு விழாவில் செம்மொழி நிறுவனத்தின் நற்றிணை வழக்குச் சொல்லகராதி, ஐங்குறுநூறு கவிதை உரை, தொல்காப்பியம்: ஆய்வுகளும் பதிப்புகளும், Tolkāppiyam Eḻuttatikāram Iḷampūraṇār Commentary ஆகிய நூல்கள் வெளியிடப்பட்டன. இந்நிகழ்வில் நிறுவன இயக்குநர் பேராசிரியரர் இரா. சந்திரசேகரன் , பதிவாளர் முனைவர் ரெ. புவனேஸ்வரி, கல்வெட்டு ஆய்வாளர் திரு. எஸ். இராமச்சந்திரன், மலாயப் பல்கலைக்கழகப் பேராசிரியர் முனைவர். செல்வஜோதி இராமலிங்கம், பயிலரங்க இணை ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் முனைவர் இரா. அருள்மணி மற்றும் மலேசியாவிலிருந்து வருகைபுரிந்த ஆசிரியர்களும் பங்கேற்றுச் சிறப்பித்தனர்.
