🌍 Climate Change is a Health Issue. Education is the First Line of Defence.
The Tamil Nadu Apex Skill Development Centre for Healthcare (TNASDCH) is pleased to collaborate in the One Day Seminar on Climate Change and Human Health – A Primer for Educators, organised by the Faculty of Public Health, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, on 22 January 2026.
As a state-level Centre of Excellence for healthcare skilling, TNASDCH strongly believes that climate literacy is no longer optional—it is a core public health competency. Teachers and educators play a pivotal role in shaping climate-resilient communities, and this programme directly strengthens that foundation.
🔹 The seminar focuses on:
Climate change impacts on human health, ecosystems, air quality, nutrition, and vector-borne diseases
National climate policies and climate–health strategies
Disaster preparedness, adaptation, and climate-resilient school systems
Promoting climate-smart practices through education
🔹 Target beneficiaries include school leaders, teachers across all levels, education department officials, curriculum developers, and NGOs—ensuring that climate awareness translates into institutional and community-level action.
Through such collaborations, TNASDCH continues to support integrated skilling approaches that link health, education, environment, and disaster preparedness, aligned with Tamil Nadu’s broader vision for sustainable and resilient development.
We look forward to continued partnerships that build future-ready educators and a climate-conscious generation.
