Capt G Ramaswamy is a committed marine professional and he spent his 20 years of life at sea including 6 years in command of various seagoing vessels. Thereafter he set up a crew manning office in Chennai for Wallem ship Management Hong Kong in the year 1996. He continued to work with Wallem India and step down from Wallem India as Vice President in the year 2009. In the year 2009 as he was asked to set up crew manning division in India for the largest tanker Owning company in the world The Frontline ltd which belongs to the Norwegian billionaire Mr John Frederiksen. During the tenure in Wallem he was asked to oversee the wellbeing of the Angolan students who came to India for their nautical and marine engineering studies. He has almost seen and met close to 500 Angolan students who have passed out from Indian maritime universities especially from AMET and Maritime foundation. Capt Ram says though it was bit difficult to control few boys at times but he found happiness in doing best for those Angolan students. All those extra effort and hard work finally paid back when Ambassador Mr. Manuel Bravo believed in Ram and decided to propose him to appoint him as Honorary Consul for Republic of Angola in Chennai for the entire all the five south Indian states. Presently he is also the CEO of SeaTeam Management India. He is doing the crew Management for 17 large tankers belong to frontline carrying crude oil around the world.
