On The Occasion Of The 75th Independence Day, We The Members Of Swadesi Goa Decided To Do Something Different This Time....

On The Occasion Of The 75th Independence Day, We The Members Of Swadesi Goa Decided To Do Something Different This Time. As We All Know That The Independence Day is Celebrated As A Tribute To The Great Freedom Fighters Of This Great Nation. It Gives Me Great Sense Of Pride To Inform You Guys That We Conducted A Sapling Plantation Drive At The Chapora Fort On This Auspicious Occasion.

We Planted Around 50 Saplings Around The Peripheral Grounds Of The Chapora Fort. The Saplings We Planted Were All Mostly Fruit-Bearing Saplings Namely :
Avacado, Gauva, Custard Apple, Lemon, Kokum (Garcinia Indica)
And Cinnamon.

Today's Plantation Drive Wouldn't Have Been Possible Without The Support of Our Senior Members Of The Chapora Village.Who Helped And Guided Us In Planting The Saplings According to The Regional Soil Profile. We Are Much Obliged For Their Help And Support.

Last But Not The Least We Would Like To Thank Our Dear Friend And Swadesi Member

Towards The Greener State Of Goa

So After Liberating The Chapora Fort From Plastic And Non-biodegradable Waste We decided To Put Up Hoardings Advising People Not To Litter Up The Place And Try To Maintain This Beautiful Place As Beautiful As It is. Hope People Follow The Same.🙏❤️

It Gives Us Immense Pleasure In Announcing That Our Cleanliness Drive Held At Chapora Fort On 19th December (Goa Liberation Day) Was A Very Successful One. The Drive Began At 7:30 am Sharp And Ended At Around 12:30 pm. A Total of 16 Participants Took Part In This Small Initiative Of Making Goa Clean & Green.We Collected Around 300+ Kgs Of Non-Biodegradable Waste Which Was Mostly Beer Bottles,Cans, Chips Packets,Wrappers,Carry Bags etc.
We Segregated & Collected The Waste Into The Sacks We Carried With Us.This Would Have not been possible without the support of my Dear Friends Seen in the above Pictures.I Would like to thank all you guys for Taking The Effort Of Waking Up In The Morning instead of Just Sleeping On a Public Holiday & making this happen.I hope we continue to work towards the betterment of our beautiful State Of Goa in The Future As well.❤️✨

We Conducted A Small Cleanliness Drive At The Infamous Baga Creek Which Is Usually Full Of Beer Bottles, Plastic Bottles, Plastic Cups, Cigarette Boxes, Cigarette Buds & Other Non Biodegradable Stuff Lying All Around The Place. We Decided To Clean The Place As It Has It's Own Scenic Beauty Where One Can Sit And Watch the Sun Set Over The Horizon. But Due To Negligence & Careless Attitude Of The People This Place Has Lost It's Charm Over The Years.
I Request All Those Have Read This Post Till Here To Please Share This Post As Much As You Can So That People Get Aware About It. It's High We The People Of Goa Take Matters In Our Own Hands. And Work As Per Our Capacity Towards The Betterment Of Our State And The Society.

Our First Cleanliness Drive At Ozorim Springs on 20th September 2020 Was A Sucessful One. We collected around 50kgs of Non-biodegradable Waste. Which Was Mostly Beer Bottles,Cans, plastic bottles, plastic bags, wrappers etc. We segregated The Wastes Into Our Garbage Collecting Bags. This Would Have not been possible without the support of my Dear Friends Seen in the above Picture.I Would like to thank all you guys for making this happen and I hope we continue to work towards the betterment of our society.❤️✨😊
