आज चंडीगढ़ में माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी के आगमन पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम में सम्मिलित होने का अवसर प्राप्त हुआ। इस अवसर पर चंडीगढ़ व्यापार मंडल के अनेक पदाधिकारी एवं साथी भी उपस्थित रहे।

कार्यक्रम में देश के विकास, सुशासन, जनभागीदारी और भविष्य की विकास यात्रा से जुड़े विचारों को सुनने का अवसर मिला। ऐसे अवसर लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था को और सशक्त बनाने के साथ-साथ समाज के विभिन्न वर्गों को एक मंच पर आने का अवसर भी प्रदान करते हैं।

*Chandigarh Beopar Mandal HOLDS SPECIAL CLEANLINESS DRIVE IN SECTOR 17 TO WELCOME HON’BLE PM SHRI NARENDRA MODI JI*

*Chandigarh, 14th July 2026*: Chandigarh Beopar Mandal today organized a *Special Cleanliness Drive in Sector 17 Market*, one of the city’s most prominent and oldest commercial hubs.

The drive was conducted as a true tribute and to welcome the *Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji*, who is scheduled to visit *The City Beautiful on 17th July 2026*

Led by *Shri Sanjiv Chadha, President, CBM*, senior office bearers namely *Shri Sushil Bansal, Advisor, Jaspal Singh , Raj kumar Ghambhir and Shri Mohan Singh* and other prominent traders of Sector 17 participated enthusiastically and cleaned the market area to convey solidarity and respect.

*Chandigarh Beopar Mandal Opposes Creation of New Vendor Sites in Sector Markets*

A high-level delegation of *Chandigarh Beopar Mandal* today called on *Shri Himanshu Gupta, Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh* to register strong objections against the proposed creation of new vendor sites in the sector markets of the city.

The delegation consisting of *Sh. Sanjeev Chadha, President, Chandigarh Beopar Mandal* and *Sh. Charanjiv Singh, Chairman, Chandigarh Beopar Mandal*. Prominent trader leaders including *Sh.Sushil Bansal s Harjeet Singh, Sh. Sunny Puri, Radhey lal Bajaj* and other senior functionaries, along with Presidents of various market associations, who were also present.

While submitting protest letters received from various markets, the delegation apprised the Joint Commissioner that most sector markets are *already highly congested* and facing acute *parking problems*. Creation of additional vendor sites will further worsen congestion and create law & order issues.

The traders further stated that *law-abiding, tax-paying shopkeepers* will be adversely affected as their business may be impacted by new vending activities. It was also pointed out that *existing vendor sites in various locations still have many vacant and unused spaces*, and new vendors can be accommodated there instead of creating fresh sites. President CBM also conveyed that such creation of new additional vendor site shall be opposed strongly by apex body of traders of the city
Chairman CBM said that as Markets of the city are already congested, Very less parking and walking space is available, there are sanitation issues, so we registered our protest and demand to create Vendor Zones outside Markets.

*Shri Himanshu Gupta, Joint Commissioner, MC* patiently heard all the viewpoints put forth by the Chandigarh Beopar Mandal delegation and *assured that all concerns will be considered* in tomorrow’s meeting convened to finalize the new vending policy.

It was an honour to attend the 9th GST Diwas celebrations organized by the Central GST Department at MCM DAV College, Chandigarh, along with Shri Sanjeev Chadha President, Shri Charanjiv Singh Chairman, and Shri Radhe Lal Bajaj, Finance Secretary.

The highlight of the occasion was the felicitation of our President, Shri Sanjeev Chadha, with an Appreciation Certificate by the Central GST Department in recognition of the exemplary contribution of the trader members of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal towards the successful implementation and compliance of GST.

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय रक्तदान दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में आज सेक्टर-17, चंडीगढ़ में श्री शिव कांवड़ संघ एवं व्यापार मंडल के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में 18वें विशाल रक्तदान शिविर का सफल आयोजन किया गया।

यह अत्यंत हर्ष और गर्व का विषय है कि इस शिविर में 508 रक्तदाताओं ने स्वेच्छा से रक्तदान कर मानवता की सेवा और समाज के प्रति अपनी जिम्मेदारी का उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण प्रस्तुत किया।

इस अवसर पर नगर निगम चंडीगढ़ के आयुक्त श्री अमित कुमार जी ने मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में अपनी गरिमामयी उपस्थिति दर्ज कराई तथा सभी रक्तदाताओं और आयोजकों के इस सराहनीय प्रयास की प्रशंसा की।
