Chandigarh and the whole world is proud of you π
Kafi, a 15-year-old student from Chandigarh's Institute of Blind, has become the CBSE topper of her school in the CBSE 10th result 2023 with an impressive score of 95.20%. However, her journey to reach this milestone has not been easy. Kafi is an acid attack survivor who was attacked by three neighbours when she was just three years old. The attack left Kafi with severe burns on her face and arms, and she lost her eyesight. Despite this, Kafi did not give up and kept fighting to achieve her dreams.
Kafi began studying at Hisar's blind school at the age of eight. She completed her first and second grades there, but her family moved to Chandigarh due to a lack of facilities. In Chandigarh's Secretariat, Kafi's father works as a peon on a contract basis. She was always good at academics and got direct admission to Class 6 in Chandigarh's Institute of Blind in Sector 26.
Kafi aims to become an IAS officer and make her family proud. Her father, Pawan, is proud of her achievements and named her with high hopes. Despite Kafi's challenges and pending appeal against her attackers, she has inspired many.
