Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Lalganj, Buxar The KVK, Lalganj, Buxar started functioning in Nov, 2008 with the mandate of technology assessment, refinement and demonstration of technology product.

Agriculture is the main occupation of the majority of the people of this district. One major canal (Sone command) passing through this district has been the main source of irrigation for the farmers along with its subsidiary channels and tube wells .The farmers are engaged in growing rice, wheat, sugarcane, potato, jowar, bajra, maize, sunflower and all types of green vegetables. Rice-Wheat is the

major cropping system of the district. Some farmers are getting their income through Beekeeping. The net cultivated area of the district is 142,931.00 ha. The district is abundant with mango trees. There are 11 blocks in the district covering 1134 villages.
