Before independence Talwas was under the kingdom of Hadoti, and British. Hadoti dynasty governed the kingdom of Bundi and Talwas was under the same king

dom. From 1193 to 1579 – Talwas Ruled by Hadoti rulers.
1579-1817 Existed as an Independent state of Bundi and was ruled with close alliance with the Moghal and Talwas was under the same kingdom. From 1817 to 1947 Talwas was under the British Rulers hand.
1947 Post independence became independent village under Bundi district in the state of Rajasthan. The beautiful Talwas fort was built by Ajith Singh located at the center of city. The fort and Dhooleswar temple attract tourists and add value to the village of Talwas. Talwas
