District Level Training of District & Charge Census Functionaries for Census 2027 – Phase I (Houselisting & Housing Census) commenced on 2nd June 2026 and will continue till 4th June 2026 at the Conference Hall of the District Commissioner’s Office under the guidance of Shri Dibakar Nath, IAS, Principal Census Officer & District Commissioner. The training focuses on capacity building and operational preparedness for the successful implementation of Census 2027.

The sessions are being conducted by Shri Subhabrata Mukherjee, Deputy Director (IT), Census Directorate, Assam, and Shri K. Rungaung, DPA, who are serving as Resource Persons for the programme. Officials are actively participating in discussions and hands-on sessions aimed at ensuring effective and efficient implementation of the Houselisting & Housing Census.

The Bongaigaon District Administration successfully kicked off the Career Counselling Programme 2026 today at the Birjhora Public Library Auditorium.

The inaugural session on Civil Services was inaugurated by Shri Dibakar Nath, IAS, DC Bongaigaon. Aspirants received invaluable guidance and strategies to crack the civil services exam from an esteemed panel of resource persons, including:

The Monthly Revenue Collection Meeting to review the progress of revenue generation across departments was chaired by DC Bongaigaon Sri Dibakar Nath, IAS in presence of Sri Bibhash Pathak (ADC Rev), Superintendent of Excise, District Transport Officer, and Heads of various revenue-generating departments.

During the review, the DC reviewed department-wise revenue collection performance, examining achievements against assigned targets and identifying areas of deficit. Necessary directions were issued to strengthen collection mechanisms, enhance coordination, and ensure timely achievement of revenue targets.
