The Ceremonial Distribution Programme of Grants-in-Aid to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and SHG Members under the PM-AJAY Scheme was successfully held on 17 July 2026 at the Kajalgaon Market Shed, Chirang.
The programme was graced by Sri Paniram Brahma, Hon'ble MLA, 19-Sidli LAC; Sri James Basumatary, Hon'ble Executive Member, BTC; Sri Sukurshing Muchahary, Hon'ble MCLA, 13-Chirang; Sri Nandalal Magar, Hon'ble MCLA; Sri Gokul Ch. Brahma, Deputy Commissioner, Chirang; Sri Arabinda Rabha, Project Director, DRDA, Chirang; the District Agriculture Officer, Chirang; and Sri Debabratta Poddar, Chairman, SC Welfare Board, along with district and block officials of ASRLMS..During the programme, sanction letters were ceremonially presented to five Scheduled Caste (SC) Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and SC member beneficiaries under the PM-AJAY scheme. The initiative aims to strengthen sustainable livelihoods, promote entrepreneurship, and enhance the socio-economic well-being of Scheduled Caste communities through financial assistance.
The event reflected the collective commitment of the Governments inclusive development and the economic empowerment of rural communities.
Together, we move towards a stronger, self-reliant, and empowered rural Assam.
