A comprehensive departmental review meeting was held today 28 Aug 2026 at the Boko Block Development Office Community Hall. The session was chaired by the Hon'ble CDC, Shri Priyanshu Bharadwaj.The meeting saw active participation from various departmental heads to evaluate the progress of ongoing developmental projects and welfare schemes in the region. Shri Bharadwaj emphasized the need for timely completion of works, strict quality control, and seamless inter-departmental coordination to ensure that the benefits of governance reach every citizen effectively.

The grand event was successfully hosted at the Bishnu Rabha Auditorium in Boko, Assam, aligning with this year’s global theme: "Yoga for Healthy Ageing".

Under the direction of the District Commissioner, Kamrup, a series of medical health check-up camps were conducted on February 20, 23, and 25, 2026. Held at the Lower Lumpi Community Hall, Ukiam, and Namtarabari, these camps were organized by the SDM&HO of Boko BPHC within the Boko Chaygaon Co-district.
The initiative was a collaborative effort between the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) team from Boko BPHC and the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) team of Kamrup. A total of 312 patients (105 at Lower Lumpi, 126 at Ukiam, and 81 at Namtarabari) received:
>Comprehensive medical examinations.
>Routine diagnostic investigations.
>Free ECG screenings.
>Essential medicines at no cost.

Today, the Boko-Chaygaon Co-District Administration joined the rest of the nation in celebrating India’s 77th Republic Day with great pride and patriotic fervor.
The ceremonial National Flag was unfurled by our esteemed Co-District Commissioner, Sri Priyanshu Bharadwaj, ACS, at the official celebration venue. Following the flag hoisting, the Commissioner addressed the gathering, emphasizing our collective responsibility toward the progress of our region and upholding the values of the Indian Constitution.
The event featured a spirited march-past by security forces and students, along with vibrant cultural showcases reflecting our rich local heritage.

Today, December 10, the Boko-Chaygaon Co-district administration organized a solemn observance of Swahid Divas (Martyrs' Day) at Gandhi Maidan in Boko. The day is observed across Assam to pay heartfelt homage to the 860 martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the historic Assam Movement (1979–1985) to safeguard the state's identity and dignity.
The event saw the dignified presence of key administrative and community leaders, who gathered to honor the memory of those who fought for Assam's future.
Key Dignitaries Present:
Shri Priyanshu Bharadwaj, Co-district Commissioner (CDC), Boko-Chaygaon, Shri Sonaram Rabha, Chairman of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC), Shri Raben Deury, Assistant Commissioner, Circle Officers (COs) from Boko, Chamaria and Nagarbera revenue circles,Executive Members (EMs) of RHAC, The Principal of JN College, Boko, Ex MLA Shri Jyotiprasad Das, Various other officials and members of the community.
The speakers at the event recalled the valour and sacrifice of the martyrs, emphasizing that the spirit of the movement continues to inspire future generations to stand united and contribute to the welfare of the state and the nation. The administration's initiative to organize the event at the local level ensures that the history and significance of the Assam Movement are remembered and passed on to the local populace.
