Voters’ Awareness Rallies were conducted at various Police Stations under Biswanath Police in connection with the upcoming Assam Assembly Election 2026.

Today, On 24/03/2026, a meeting regarding the upcoming Assembly Election 2026, was held at the Office of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Biswanath, under the chairmanship of Sri Prasanta Sagar Sangmai, IPS( IGP, NR).

The meeting was attended by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Biswanath, along with all Gazetted Officers (GOs) and Officers-in-Charge (OCs) of the district.

The meeting deliberated on election preparedness, security arrangements, maintenance of law and order, and ensuring effective coordination among all concerned agencies for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the election.

Area Domination in Biswanath District

Today (20/03/2026), Biswanath Police, in coordination with ITBP personnel, successfully carried out an extensive area domination across the entire Biswanath district. The operation was conducted to strengthen security measures, maintain law and order, and ensure the safety of the public, along with confidence-building measures among citizens.

All Gazetted Officers were actively involved in the area domination exercise, which was conducted safely and peacefully as part of preparedness for the upcoming Legislative Assembly Election 2026.

🌟 Historic Milestone in Inter-State Boundary Demarcation 🌟

In a significant and historic development, the first inter-state boundary pillar between Pake Kessang District, Arunachal Pradesh and Biswanath District, Assam was successfully erected this morning at 9:30 AM at Sijusa point, marking a new chapter in cooperative boundary management between the two states.

The occasion was graced by the Hon’ble Health Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of both districts, the Superintendent of Police (SSP) Biswanath, Divisional Forest Officers (Territorial & Wildlife) of both districts, and survey officials from Survey of India, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh.

The er****on of the first boundary pillar follows the successful demarcation of approximately 80% of the inter-state boundary length between the two districts. The demarcation and survey process was undertaken in accordance with the decisions taken during the Inter-State Regional Committee meeting.

This achievement reflects the spirit of cooperation, coordination, and mutual understanding between the two states, paving the way for peaceful and structured boundary administration. 🤝
