एमआरएफ लिमिटेड द्वारा 6 अप्रैल 2026 को शासकीय इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेज, बिलासपुर में आयोजित कैंपस प्लेसमेंट ड्राइव ने सफलता की एक नई कहानी लिख दी, जहां छत्तीसगढ़ भर से आए 130 छात्रों में से 119 छात्रों का चयन किया गया।
यह ड्राइव एमआरएफ के LEAD (Learn & Earn Development) कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत चेन्नई प्लांट के लिए आयोजित की गई, जिसमें छात्रों को न केवल रोजगार का अवसर मिलेगा बल्कि 3 वर्षों का संरचित प्रशिक्षण, तकनीकी कौशल विकास और शैक्षणिक प्रमाणन भी प्राप्त होगा। इस दौरान चयनित अभ्यर्थियों को आकर्षक मासिक स्टाइपेंड, वार्षिक बोनस तथा आवास, भोजन, परिवहन और बीमा जैसी सुविधाएं भी प्रदान की जाएंगी।
इस सफल आयोजन में कंपनी के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों द्वारा प्री-प्लेसमेंट टॉक और साक्षात्कार के माध्यम से छात्रों का मूल्यांकन किया गया। कार्यक्रम छत्तीसगढ़ तकनीकी शिक्षा विभाग के मार्गदर्शन एवं कॉलेज के प्रशिक्षण एवं प्लेसमेंट सेल के समन्वय से सुचारू रूप से संपन्न हुआ।

बिलासपुर | शिक्षा जगत में बड़ी उपलब्धि
शासकीय इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेज, बिलासपुर ने तकनीकी शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में एक ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धि हासिल की है। अखिल भारतीय तकनीकी शिक्षा परिषद (AICTE) द्वारा सत्र 2026-27 के लिए कॉलेज का नाम परिवर्तन स्वीकृत कर दिया गया है। अब यह संस्थान Chhattisgarh Institute of Technology Bilaspur के नाम से जाना जाएगा।
इसके साथ ही संस्थान में आधुनिक तकनीकी शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देते हुए दो नए अत्याधुनिक इंजीनियरिंग कोर्स भी प्रारंभ किए जा रहे हैं:
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML) – 60 सीटें
Electronics and Communication Engineering (VLSI Design & Technology) – 60 सीटें
ये दोनों कोर्स वर्तमान उद्योग की मांग और भविष्य की तकनीकी आवश्यकताओं को ध्यान में रखते हुए शुरू किए गए हैं, जिससे छात्रों को उच्च स्तर के करियर अवसर प्राप्त होंगे।
संस्थान, जो कि All India Council for Technical Education द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त है, पहले Government Engineering College Bilaspur के नाम से संचालित हो रहा था। नाम परिवर्तन के साथ-साथ नए कोर्स प्रारंभ होना क्षेत्र के तकनीकी शिक्षा विकास में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम माना जा रहा है।
संस्थान के प्राचार्य ने इस उपलब्धि पर प्रसन्नता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि यह बदलाव न केवल संस्थान की पहचान को राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर सुदृढ़ करेगा, बल्कि छात्रों को अत्याधुनिक तकनीकी क्षेत्रों में विशेषज्ञता प्राप्त करने का अवसर भी प्रदान करेगा।

Visit at IITNR and NIT Raipur
शासकीय इंजीनियरिंग महाविद्यालय बिलासपुर के प्राचार्य डॉ. एस. के. सिंघई के निर्देशन एवं विद्यार्थियों के outside exposure को बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग के 8वें सेमेस्टर के विद्यार्थियों ने दिनांक 19 मार्च 2026 को तीन संकाय सदस्यों के साथ देश के प्रतिष्ठित संस्थानों IIIT नया रायपुर एवं NIT रायपुर का शैक्षणिक भ्रमण किया।

इस शैक्षणिक भ्रमण का मुख्य उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों को उच्च स्तरीय तकनीकी वातावरण, आधुनिक अनुसंधान सुविधाओं एवं उद्योग उन्मुख शिक्षा प्रणाली से परिचित कराना था, जिससे वे अपने शैक्षणिक एवं व्यावसायिक विकास के लिए नई दिशा प्राप्त कर सकें। इस भ्रमण का समन्वय श्री दीपक कुमार साहू (फैकल्टी कोऑर्डिनेटर) द्वारा किया गया, तथा श्रीमती अर्पिता रानी वैष्णव एवं सुश्री समीक्षा शुक्ला ने कार्यक्रम के सफल संचालन में महत्वपूर्ण सहयोग प्रदान किया।

IIIT नया रायपुर में विद्यार्थियों ने संस्थान की आधुनिक अधोसंरचना का अवलोकन करते हुए 3D मैन्युफैक्चरिंग लैब, VLSI लैब, एडवांस्ड कंप्यूटर लैब, रडार लैब, एंटीना लैब एवं इन्क्यूबेशन सेंटर का निरीक्षण किया। यहाँ उन्हें अत्याधुनिक तकनीकों एवं उनके व्यावहारिक अनुप्रयोगों की विस्तृत जानकारी दी गई। साथ ही डीन (अकादमिक) एवं संकाय सदस्यों द्वारा पेड इंटर्नशिप, CM M.Tech कार्यक्रम, प्लेसमेंट अवसरों एवं सांख्यिकीय जानकारी साझा कर विद्यार्थियों का मार्गदर्शन किया गया।

इसके पश्चात NIT रायपुर में प्रो. टी. पी. साहू द्वारा विद्यार्थियों को रिसर्च-ओरिएंटेड करियर, प्रोडक्ट-आधारित अनुसंधान तथा फंडेड प्रोजेक्ट्स के विषय में विस्तृत जानकारी प्रदान की गई। विद्यार्थियों ने संस्थान के स्पोर्ट्स कॉम्प्लेक्स एवं डेटा सेंटर का भी अवलोकन किया।

दोनों संस्थानों के हरित एवं सुव्यवस्थित परिसर तथा उत्कृष्ट अधोसंरचना ने विद्यार्थियों को एक प्रेरणादायक शैक्षणिक वातावरण का अनुभव कराया। साथ ही, दोनों संस्थानों द्वारा भविष्य में विद्यार्थियों को लैब एक्सेस एवं प्लेसमेंट मार्गदर्शन प्रदान करने की सहमति भी व्यक्त की गई। NIT रायपुर में स्मृति-चिह्न (मोमेंटो) प्रदान कर आपसी सहयोग को और सुदृढ़ किया गया।

अतः प्राचार्य के मार्गदर्शन में आयोजित यह शैक्षणिक भ्रमण विद्यार्थियों के लिए अत्यंत लाभकारी सिद्ध हुआ, जिससे उन्हें तकनीकी ज्ञान, उच्च शिक्षा, प्लेसमेंट एवं भविष्य के करियर अवसरों के प्रति स्पष्ट दृष्टिकोण एवं नई प्रेरणा प्राप्त हुई।

Startup Awareness Program at GEC Bilaspur

An awareness program on startups and related government policies was successfully conducted on 17th March 2026 at Government Engineering College (GEC), Bilaspur, by the District Trade and Industry Centre (DTIC), Bilaspur under the CG Industry Department.

The program was graced by Chief Guest Shri Sanjay Gajghate, Additional Director, Directorate of Industries, along with Special Guest Shri C. R. Tekam, Chief General Manager, DTIC Bilaspur. Both dignitaries encouraged the students to become job creators instead of job seekers by launching their own startups.

Smt. Suman Dewangan, GM, SIPB Bilaspur, and Smt. Preeti Khandelwal provided valuable insights into various financial schemes, subsidies, and government support available for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Adding a practical dimension, Mrs. Ankita Tiwari, President, BNI Bilaspur, shared her expertise on digital marketing strategies and the effective use of AI tools for business growth in today’s competitive environment.

The program was successfully organized by Prof. Sourabh Yadav, President, IIC GEC Bilaspur, under the able guidance of Dr. Seema Chauhan, HOD Civil, and Dr. S. K. Singhai, Principal, GEC Bilaspur.

The session proved to be highly informative and inspiring, motivating students to explore entrepreneurship as a promising career path.

On 6G
The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Government Engineering College, Bilaspur, successfully organized a two-day seminar on “Intelligent 6G Communication: AI/ML Techniques and Metamaterial-Based Wireless Systems” on 9–10 March 2026, sponsored by the Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology (CCOST).

The seminar was conducted under the guidance of Principal and Chief Patron Dr. S. K. Singhai and Patron Dr. Seema Chauhan, whose encouragement and support played an important role in the successful organization of the program. The event witnessed active participation from faculty members, researchers, and students from various institutions across Chhattisgarh.

The seminar was convened by Mrs. Arpita Rani Vaishnava, with Mrs. Deepika Bairagi as Coordinator and Mrs. Shashikal Singh as Co-Coordinator. The entire organizing committee of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering actively contributed to the planning and smooth ex*****on of the event.

Expert lectures were delivered by distinguished speakers including Prof. Rajarshi Mahapatra (IIIT Naya Raipur), Dr. B. Acharya (NIT Raipur), Dr. Nipun Kumar Mishra (GGV Bilaspur), and Dr. Ruchi Tripathi (GGV Bilaspur). The sessions covered emerging topics such as 5G and Beyond Communication, Security and Privacy Challenges in 6G, Machine Learning in Communication Systems, Metamaterials in Wireless Communication, AI-enabled Antenna Technologies, and 6G Standardization and Use Cases.

The seminar concluded with an interactive panel discussion and certificate distribution, providing participants with valuable insights into next-generation wireless communication technologies. The program served as an effective platform for knowledge exchange, academic collaboration, and technological awareness in the field of advanced communication systems.

Kaushalam 2026 & Sports Fest “Pravaah” Concludes Successfully at Government Engineering College, Bilaspur

The three-day Sports Fest “Pravaah” followed by the Annual Techno-Cultural Fest “Kaushalam 2026” concluded with great enthusiasm at Government Engineering College Bilaspur.

The celebration began with the Sports Fest Pravaah from 23rd February to 25th February 2026, where students actively participated in various indoor and outdoor sports events, showcasing exceptional talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Following the sports events, a two-day Technical and Cultural Fest was organized from 26th February to 27th February 2026, featuring technical competitions, cultural performances, and creative activities that highlighted the diverse skills of students.

The grand Annual Festival was held on 28th February 2026, marking the successful culmination of all events. During the समारोह, awards and prizes were distributed to the winners of both Pravaah and the Techfest competitions.

The program was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Nischaya Khalkho, Deputy Director General, Power Grid Corporation, Gatauri. He fondly shared his memories associated with the college and motivated students to aim for careers in Power Grid and other Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).

The Special Guest, Shri Sant Kumar Netam, Member CGPSC, expressed his strong attachment to the institution and encouraged students to prepare sincerely for competitive examinations.

Mrs. Madulikha Dave, Power Grid Corporation, Gatauri, also shared her student-life memories and extended heartfelt gratitude to the teachers for their dedication.

The event was further honored by the presence of Shri R. K. Awasthi, President ABGEC, and Mr. Sudhir Gupta, Member ABGEC, who addressed the students and inspired them towards excellence.

Students captivated the audience with vibrant dance and musical performances, making the evening memorable and energetic.

The entire event was successfully coordinated by Dr. A. K. Upadhyay, Prof. Baba Prasad Martandey, Prof. Indrani Borkar, and Prof. Arpita Rani Vaishnav under the esteemed guidance of Dr. S. K. Singhai, Principal, GEC Bilaspur.
