𝗦𝗞𝗠 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗯 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗡𝗖𝗖 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗕 𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗵𝗶
Anger of farmers against the corporate and communal policies of the Narendra Modi Government has boiled over today with their huge participation in the Grameen Bharat Bandh, a call given along with Industrial / Sectoral Strike jointly with Joint Platform Central Trade Unions, Independent Federations, Associations and other organizations of workers, women, youth and students. The Strike action reflected anger of the people against the brutal repression by the Modi Govt. and the BJP led state government of Haryana on the farmers at Shambhu Border of Punjab marching to Delhi. One of the largest ever mass actions of the people in Independent India has helped to bring back the people’s livelihood issues in the national agenda just ahead of the forthcoming general election to Lok Sabha.
While in Punjab the protest has become almost a Bandh in all other states and Union Territories shops, industries, markets and educational institutions, government offices remained closed in villages. Massive demonstrations and protest rallies have been organised in which lakhs of people have participated with enthusiasm.Workers have struck work and organised massive demonstrations, students joined them by boycotting classes while youth and women also participated widely. In Jammu Kashmir, hundreds of Apple farmers demonstrated in Press Colony, Srinagar were forcefully dispersed by the Police and para military forces dragging the leaders into Police Vehicles and taken to Custody without any provocation. This massive action helped to fortify the farmer-worker unity across India and further advance it towards unity of the people up to village, town level is the greatest achievement in the fight against corporate -communal nexus under the patronage of Modi. Govt.
The Grameen Bandh call is in continuation of the demands for MSP@ C2+50% with guaranteed procurement, reduction in input costs, debt waiver, repeal Electricity (amendment) Bill 2022 and no to prepaid meters, dismiss and prosecute Ajay Mishra Teni Union MoS(Home), the main conspirator of Lakhimpur Kheri massacre of farmers among others. It was preceded by coordinated and joint call with workers of Black Day observation on 3rd October 2023, three days Mahapadav protest on 26-28 November 2023 in State Capitals and a massive Tractor – Vehicle Rally in districts on 26th January, 2024.
SKM has decided to immediately intensify agitation and it shall be done with multiple calls for massive actions in coordination with workers and all other sections of the people.The SKM Punjab unit is meeting on February 18th at Jalandhar and it will be followed by the meetings of NCC and General Body at New Delhi to take stock of developments and suggest future course of action. They will be finalized along with the central SKM and shall be determined by the response of the Govt of India. SKM declares, shall not allow the indictable of Lakhimpur Kheri massacre to be spared and farmers all over India shall fight tooth and nail building towards such a resolute movement to send them to Jail and achieve MSP, Loan Waiver and end farmers su***de.
SKM had sent a polite and written appeal to the Prime Minister of India on Feb 13, asking him to be sympathetic and considerate to farmers who are suffering farm losses, distress, debt, unemployment, while farm labor suffers severe hunger, failure of treatment and deprivation. It is unfortunate that the Prime Minister has shown full sympathy to the Corporate Companies, but has unleashed repression on farmers with lathi charge, pellet firing, tear gas sprays, use of drones, road blockade, house to house threats and continuing with a ‘war like approach’ towards the farmers. SKM condemns even more vehemently the injury caused to 3 farmers in Shambhu, who have lost their vision. Mr. Modi’s govt is blinding the farmers to serve the exploiting Big Businessman.
Modi Govt. has deliberately vitiated the atmosphere on farmers issues and hoodwink people into believing that he is truthful and sincere. He promised a committee to consider MSP and other demands in December 2021. Seven months later he formed one with those who were openly opposed to giving MSP and he added Crop Diversification and Zero Budget Natural Farming on its agenda. Now, in the name of talks, he is mocking negotiations by sending ministers to the agitators at Shambhu to fool the people and keeping the points and progress in the discussion ‘secret’ thus putting the farmers of the entire country in the dark. SKM raises questions over BJP’s policy of stubbornness towards solving basic problems of people and diverting their attention towards communal and religious disputes. SKM fought this on January 26th, 2021 and is determined to unite the people across India to achieve victory.
SKM expresses its gratitude to all CTUs, other organizations of Workers Student, Youth, Womens’ and Cultural activists for having extended strong support and hopes that we, together shall build a stronger movement on these demands and advance towards replacing the pro- corporate policies with pro-farmer, pro-worker and pro-people policies.

एसकेएम का आंदोलन लखीमपुर खीरी नरसंहार के अपराधियों को जेल भेजने के लिए दृढ़ प्रतिज्ञ, दोषियों को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा

नई दिल्ली। केंद्रीय ट्रेड यूनियनों के संयुक्त मंच, स्वतंत्र और क्षेत्रीय फेडरेशनो/एसोसिएशनो के औद्योगिक/क्षेत्रीय हड़ताल के साथ मिलकर संयुक्त किसान मोर्चा श्रमिकों, महिलाओं, युवाओं और छात्रों के अन्य संगठन के सहयोग से देशव्यापी ग्रामीण बंद का आह्वान किया था। नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार की कॉर्पोरेट और सांप्रदायिक नीतियों के खिलाफ किसानों का गुस्सा आज ग्रामीण भारत बंद में उनकी भारी भागीदारी के साथ सामने आ गया है। इस हड़ताल की कार्रवाई ने मोदी सरकार के क्रूर दमन और भाजपा के नेतृत्व वाली हरियाणा की राज्य सरकार, जिसने पंजाब के शंभू बॉर्डर पर दिल्ली की ओर मार्च कर रहे किसानों पर हमला किया है, के खिलाफ लोगों के गुस्से को दर्शाया है। यह स्वतंत्र भारत में लोगों की अब तक की सबसे बड़ी जन कार्रवाइयों में से एक थी, जो लोकसभा के आगामी आम चुनाव से ठीक पहले लोगों की आजीविका के मुद्दों को राष्ट्रीय एजेंडे में वापस लाने में सफल रही है।
जहां पंजाब में विरोध प्रदर्शन लगभग बंद का रूप ले चुका है, अन्य सभी राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में गांवों में दुकानें, उद्योग, बाजार और शैक्षणिक संस्थान और सरकारी कार्यालय बंद रहे। बड़े पैमाने पर प्रदर्शन और विरोध रैलियाँ आयोजित की गई हैं, जिनमें लाखों लोगों ने उत्साह के साथ भाग लिया है। श्रमिकों ने काम बंद कर दिया है और उन्होंने बड़े पैमाने पर प्रदर्शन आयोजित किया हैं, जिसमें युवाओं और महिलाओं ने भी व्यापक रूप से भाग लिया है और छात्र कक्षाओं का बहिष्कार करके उनके साथ शामिल हुए हैं। जम्मू-कश्मीर में, प्रेस कॉलोनी, श्रीनगर में बिना किसी उकसावे के प्रदर्शन कर रहे सैकड़ों सेब किसानों को पुलिस और अर्धसैनिक बलों ने बलपूर्वक तितर-बितर कर दिया और नेताओं को पुलिस वाहनों में खींचकर हिरासत में ले लिया। इस व्यापक कार्रवाई ने पूरे भारत में किसान-मजदूर एकता को मजबूत करने और गांव, कस्बे स्तर तक लोगों की एकता की दिशा में इसे आगे बढ़ाने में मदद की है, जो मोदी सरकार के संरक्षण में कॉर्पोरेट-सांप्रदायिक गठजोड़ के खिलाफ लड़ाई में सबसे बड़ी उपलब्धि है।
ग्रामीण बंद का आह्वान एमएसपी @ सी2+50% पर गारंटीशुदा खरीद करने, इनपुट लागत में कमी, कर्ज माफी, बिजली (संशोधन) विधेयक 2022 को रद्द करने और प्रीपेड मीटर को बंद करने, केंद्रीय गृह राज्य मंत्री अजय मिश्रा टेनी, जो अन्य लोगों के अलावा, लखीमपुर खीरी में किसानों के नरसंहार का मुख्य साजिशकर्ता है, को बर्खास्त करने और उस पर मुकदमा चलाने आदि मांगों को पूरा करने के लिए किया गया है। इससे पहले 3 अक्टूबर 2023 को काला दिवस मनाने, 26-28 नवंबर 2023 को राज्यों की राजधानियों में तीन दिवसीय महापड़ाव विरोध प्रदर्शन और 26 जनवरी, 2024 को जिलों में एक विशाल ट्रैक्टर-वाहन रैली का संयुक्त आह्वान किया गया था, जिसे किसान और ट्रेड यूनियन कार्यकर्ताओं ने समन्वित ढंग से पूरा किया था।
एसकेएम ने आंदोलन और तेज करने का फैसला किया है और यह कार्यकर्ताओं और लोगों के अन्य सभी वर्गों के समन्वय से और बड़े पैमाने पर कार्रवाई के लिए आह्वान के साथ किया जाएगा। एसकेएम पंजाब इकाई 18 फरवरी को जालंधर में बैठक कर रही है। इसके बाद घटना विकास का जायजा लेने और भविष्य की कार्रवाई का सुझाव देने के लिए नई दिल्ली में एनसीसी और जनरल बॉडी की बैठकें होंगी। उन्हें एसकेएम की केंद्रीय समिति के साथ मिलकर अंतिम रूप दिया जाएगा और इस आंदोलन की तीव्रता भारत सरकार की प्रतिक्रिया से निर्धारित होगी। एसकेएम ने घोषणा की है कि लखीमपुर खीरी नरसंहार के दोषियों को कतई बख्शा नहीं जाएगा और पूरे भारत में किसान उन्हें जेल भेजने और एमएसपी, ऋण माफी और किसानों की आत्महत्या को समाप्त करने के लिए संकल्पबद्ध होकर जी-जान से लड़ेंगे।
एसकेएम ने 13 फरवरी को भारत के प्रधान मंत्री को एक विनम्र और लिखित अपील भेजी थी, जिसमें उनसे उन किसानों और खेत मजदूरों के प्रति सहानुभूतिपूर्ण रुख अपनाने और विचार करने के लिए कहा गया था, जो कृषि घाटे, संकट, ऋण, बेरोजगारी, गंभीर कुपोषण और भूख, बीमारी आदि से पीड़ित हैं। यह दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है कि प्रधानमंत्री ने कॉर्पोरेट कंपनियों के प्रति तो पूरी सहानुभूति दिखाई है, लेकिन किसानों पर लाठीचार्ज, पेलेट फायरिंग, आंसू गैस स्प्रे, ड्रोन का उपयोग, सड़क नाकाबंदी करके, घर-घर धमकियां देकर और अन्य दमनात्मक कदमों के जरिए 'युद्ध' जारी रखा है और अपने किसान विरोधी दृष्टिकोण का परिचय दिया है। एसकेएम शंभू बॉर्डर में 3 किसानों को लगी चोट की और भी कड़ी निंदा करता है, जिन्होंने अपनी दृष्टि खो दी है। मोदी की सरकार शोषक बड़े व्यापारियों की सेवा के लिए किसानों को अंधा कर रही है।
मोदी सरकार ने जानबूझ कर माहौल खराब किया है। वे किसानों के मुद्दों पर झूठ बोलते हैं और लोगों को यह विश्वास दिलाते हैं कि वह सच्चे और ईमानदार हैं। उन्होंने दिसंबर 2021 में एमएसपी और अन्य मांगों पर विचार करने के लिए एक समिति बनाने का वादा किया। सात महीने बाद उन्होंने उन लोगों को लेकर एक समिति बनाई, जो खुले तौर पर एमएसपी देने का विरोध कर रहे थे और उन्होंने अपने एजेंडे में फसल विविधीकरण और शून्य बजट प्राकृतिक खेती को जोड़ा हुआ है। अब, बातचीत के नाम पर, वह लोगों को बेवकूफ बनाने के लिए शंभू बॉर्डर में आंदोलनकारियों के पास मंत्रियों को भेजकर बातचीत का नाटक कर रहे हैं और चर्चा के बिंदुओं और प्रगति को 'गुप्त' रखकर मजाक उड़ा रहे हैं और इस तरह पूरे देश के किसानों को अंधेरे में डाल रहे हैं। एसकेएम ने लोगों की बुनियादी समस्याओं को हल करने के प्रति भाजपा की हठधर्मिता और सांप्रदायिक और धार्मिक विवादों की ओर ध्यान भटकाने की नीति पर सवाल उठाए हैं। एसकेएम ने 26 जनवरी, 2021 को यह लड़ाई लड़ी थी और जीत हासिल करने के लिए पूरे भारत में लोगों को एकजुट करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।
एसकेएम सभी सीटीयू, श्रमिक, छात्र, युवा, महिला और सांस्कृतिक कार्यकर्ताओं के अन्य संगठनों को मजबूत समर्थन देने के लिए अपना आभार व्यक्त करता है और उम्मीद करता है कि हम मिलकर किसान-समर्थक, श्रमिक-समर्थक और जन-समर्थक नीतियों पर एक मजबूत आंदोलन बनाएंगे और कॉर्पोरेट समर्थक नीतियों को बदलने की दिशा में आगे बढ़ेंगे।
