Hon’ble Chief Minister reviewed preparations for Shri Devi Lairai Jatra, Shirgao, inspecting key locations and directing officials to ensure that all arrangements and safety measures are completed well in advance of the festival. Departments have been instructed to maintain close coordination for effective crowd management, traffic regulation and public safety.

In view of the forthcoming Shree Devi Lairai Jatra at Shirgao, Bicholim, preventive directions have been issued under Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita to regulate public places, ensure unobstructed access routes, and enforce safety norms.

A Joint Task Force comprising Revenue, Police, Fire Services, PWD, Electricity Department and Village Panchayat has been constituted to oversee implementation and safeguard public safety during the festival.

Citizens and devotees are requested to cooperate with the authorities and adhere to the directions issued in the interest of orderly and safe conduct of the Jatra.

A coordination meeting was held at the Office of the Deputy Collector & SDM, Bicholim, on 25/11/2025, with officials from the Police Department, Directorate of Mines & Geology, Office of the Mamlatdar, Water Resources Department, Captain of Ports, Directorate of Transport and Coastal Security Police to review enforcement measures against illegal sand mining.

The departments apprised that coordinated surprise inspections are being conducted and offences are being registered. Directions were issued to further strengthen joint monitoring and ensure prompt response to complaints, in line with the Hon’ble High Court’s directions.

📢 Majhe Ghar Live Interaction Programme

The live interaction on the Majhe Ghar scheme on 22/11/2025, under the Swayampurna Goa Programme, addressed by the Hon’ble Chief Minister was attended by all concerned field and revenue officers as directed.

Officials of SDO offices, Mamlatdars, Awal Karkuns, Circle Inspectors and Talathis participated from their respective locations and ensured full compliance.

Refresher training for all BLOs and BLO Supervisors of 16 Maem AC was held yesterday under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) w.r.t. 01.01.2026.
The session focused on accurate household verification, proper filling of Enumeration Forms (offline & online), and real-time data entry in the BLO App.
Our teams are fully geared to intensify field coverage and ensure a complete, correct, and inclusive electoral roll for the constituency. ✔️🗳️

🗳️ Strengthening the Electoral Roll at Every Level

As part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls, two key meetings were held by the Electoral Registration Officer along with the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer, 16–Maem Assembly Constituency:

📌 Meeting with Booth Level Agents (BLAs) – 03/11/2025:
BLAs were briefed on their statutory duties, verification responsibilities, ASDD identification, and their vital role in ensuring transparency and accuracy of the electoral roll at the booth level.

📌 Review Meeting with BLO Supervisors & BLOs – 13/11/2025:
Progress of house-to-house verification, EF distribution/collection, online submissions, and BLO App usage was reviewed in detail. BLOs were guided on EF filling (offline & online), Aadhaar–EPIC name matching, and real-time data entry in the BLO App. A dedicated BLO App training session has also been scheduled.

Together, BLAs and BLOs form the frontline force ensuring that the electoral roll remains accurate, inclusive, and error-free ahead of Final Publication.

🇮🇳 150 Years of Vande Mataram! 🎶

The Office of the Deputy Collector & SDO, Bicholim, in coordination with the Bicholim Municipal Council and Office of the Mamlatdar, Bicholim, organised the taluka-level celebration of 150 Years of Vande Mataram at Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sarkari Shala Sankul, Bicholim, as part of the nationwide commemoration led by the Hon’ble Prime Minister.

Hon’ble MLA of Maem Constituency Shri Premendra Shet addressed the gathering, joined by Shri Vijaykumar Natekar, Chairperson of the Bicholim Municipal Council.

The programme concluded with the mass singing of the National Song “Vande Mataram” by around 350 participants, including students, officials, and citizens — symbolising the unity and patriotic spirit that the song represents.

💫 Vande Mataram — a melody that became a movement, and continues to inspire every Indian heart.
