Presenting the story of an 'Ordinary' Tribal Woman of Koraput, who does 'Extra-ordinary' work!!

As her daily routine, she wakes up early in the morning, cooks food for the entire family and then goes to her workplace. Well, where's that?? That's the 'Paddy Field'. YES! She not only cooks food, but also grows it. And this picture shows it! In our paddy field, tribal women are sowing the seedlings.

Wait!! Are you still wondering, what's so 'Extra-ordinary' about her?? Everyday by Sunset, she earns a total of 130 rupees. ONLY!

Give it a thought in your free time. Even if you forget this Tribal Woman of Koraput, imagine your own Mother. How magically she feeds every single mouth!! Perhaps that's why 'A Mother is also A Woman!'

If an average human being lives for 60 years and eats thrice a day, then he/she should thank a farmer roughly 65,700 times (60*365*3) within his/her lifetime.

The hands that toil hard to feed us, when we care to hold those hands then that's what we call Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA). Come, join hands with us in this Thanksgiving!

As per UN Global State of the Soil Assessment, 2015, 'Humanity loses 0.3% of our global food production capacity each year to soil erosion and degradation.' At the same time, global population is increasing at a rate of 1.08%.
This clearly shows that we have to protect our soil in order to feed the world. We, at WhiteSoil, are working with this motive to restore the lost fertility of our soil.

We were highly delighted to get an amazing opportunity to be a part of this Tribal Seed Fair at Buguda, Ganjam.
On top of that, meeting eminent environmentalist Prof. Radhamohan and Sabarmatee Apa (Co-founders of Sambhav) was such a rich experience. 70 tribal people from 6 districts exchanged 100+ native seed varieties.

Severe drought has affected 8.2 million farmers of Maharashtra and Karnataka. Climate change is having adverse effects on agriculture around the globe.

Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) should be implemented, so that we can sustainably feed safe food to the growing population.

Two years ago, on this day (7th April 2017), WhiteSoil had its first tiny achievement. It was a 'small leap' towards the accomplishment of some 'larger goal'. 😊 And yeah, on the occasion of World Health Day.
