The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the widening of 125 km long Hiwarkhedi -Roshni-Ashapur-Rudhy section and 108.6 km long Deshgaon-Julwaniya Section of NH-347B in Madhya Pradesh, strengthening a vital connectivity corridor across central India. The sections, part of Betul–Khandwa–Julwania section, will improve connectivity between key agricultural, industrial and commercial centers, facilitate faster movement of goods and passengers, and enhance logistics efficiency across the region. They are also expected to support economic growth, improve road safety and provide a major boost to regional development.

The ~47 km long Boregaon–Shahpur section of NH-753L is set to transform connectivity across Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra while strengthening one of India’s most important agricultural regions. The project will significantly benefit farmers, transporters, and local businesses by improving farm-to-market connectivity, reducing travel time, lowering logistics costs, and enhancing access to markets, healthcare, and essential services. With bypasses, service roads, bridges, underpasses, and modern highway infrastructure, NH-753L is emerging as a key economic and connectivity corridor linking central India with Maharashtra.

The Ujjain–Garoth section of NH-752D is redefining connectivity in by linking the holy city of Ujjain directly with the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway through a modern 136.1 km access-controlled four-lane corridor. The National Highway section reduces travel time, strengthens connectivity with Rajasthan and Gujarat, improves freight movement, and enhances access for pilgrims visiting Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga. Survey of India and NHAI jointly organized a technical workshop on Precision Positioning Service (PPS) and CORS Network at Jabalpur.

Shri Shravan Kumar Singh, Regional Officer, NHAI RO Bhopal, along with NHAI officials, DPR consultants and Survey of India experts participated in the workshop focused on high-precision surveying, drone mapping and digital monitoring technologies for National Highway projects.

The workshop also featured live field demonstrations showcasing the role of advanced geospatial technologies in enabling faster, smarter and more accurate infrastructure development.

Enhancing Safety and Connectivity on Indore–Khandwa Corridor!

The 33.4 km long Tejajinagar–Balwara section of NH-347BG, part of the Indore–Ichhapur Corridor, is being developed into a four-lane National Highway by NHAI.

The project will reduce travel time, improve road safety, and facilitate seamless movement of passengers, agricultural produce and industrial goods.

Apart from enhancing connectivity between the key cities of Indore and Khandwa, the project will also provide better access to key destinations like Omkareshwar, Burhanpur, and Jalgaon - boosting tourism, trade, and regional economic growth.

🚧 Pre-Monsoon Maintenance Activities Underway 🚧

PIU Chhatarpur, RO Bhopal, NHAI is undertaking pre-monsoon maintenance works on the Jhansi–Khajuraho Section (Pkg-01) of NH-39 to facilitate safe and uninterrupted traffic movement during the upcoming monsoon season.
The ongoing activities include:
✔️ Cleaning of Box Culverts
✔️ Clearing and restoration of drainage systems
✔️ Maintenance of side drains
✔️ Roadside upkeep and allied maintenance works

As part of its proactive monsoon preparedness efforts, NHAI is focusing on improving drainage efficiency and minimizing waterlogging risks to ensure safer, smoother, and more reliable travel for commuter.
