Madhya Pradesh Police Academy Welcome to official page of Madhya Pradesh Police Academy On 10 June 2013 the Madhya Pradesh Police Academy (MPPA) Bhopal came into existence.

The Police academy is situated 30 kms away from Bhopal City & is spread across a campus of 98 acres.The Main purpose of the Academy is to provide Basic training to trainee Police Officers of the Rank of Dy.S.Ps and Police Sub-Inspectors in a state of the art training environment.

This Regional Training Program on Gender Sensitization organized between 26-28 June 2019 for the police officers from five North Indian states by MP police Academy MPPPA Bhopal with the support of National police Academy Hyderabad which has designated MPPPA as a regional centre of excellence . The workshop culminated on 28 th June in the presnece of the of the Academy Director of MPPPA, Mr KT Vaiphe and through a valedictory address of Shri VN Rai a noted police reforms crusader who has lead his illustrious police carrier leading by example in pro people democratic policing based on the police service delivery for the vulnerable and poor. He spoke principally about gender sensitivity and sensibility in personal conduct of police men and he emphasised that until they change their personal orientation on gender equality they cannot make a difference through their job role as law enforcement officers of liberal laws on gender justice. While IPS officer Anvesh Mangalam gave a great insight into the investigation issues on sexual crimes, Devika Prasad spoke about how police women are getting integrated into a traditionally masculine police force and why it’s important for police service delivery for all vulnerable groups.Vineet Kapoor an IPS officer an expert on police training took sessions on various aspects of police capacity building which needs gender mainstreamed structure of police education and how police officers in the field situations can impact change through standard setting on gender justice oriented service delivery. Sudha from JPAL working on police Urja help desk initiative in the state of Madhya Pradesh and Insp Rajni from MP police facilitated in imparting working models on community outreach and effective service delivery through the Urja help desk. This model of Gender Sensitization workshop is being adapted throughout the country .Trupti Panchal of TATA Institute of Social Sciences set the pace on gender as a concept for running theme in three days workshop while Abha Singhal Joshi acted as a master trainer and lead resource person for the course.

Second Course on Advanced Law Enforcement and Delhi Police Exposure especially designed for DSP probationers of MP culminated on the 28 th June 2019 through a graceful valediction program held at National Law University Delhi Campus. The MOU of MP police with NLU Delhi has now lead to an institutionalisation of this course as an essential element of DSP basic training - to be delivered for each batch sponsored by MP government.This 8 days Course was inaugurated by the VC of the university prof Ranbir Singh along with Special DG Training MP shri Sanjay Rana and Director of MP police academy shri KT Vaiphe. The valediction was done by ADG - CISF Mr Sudhir Saxena and ADG training MP Smt Anuradha Shankar in the presence of VC of the university and the Registrar Prof GS Bajpai. noted experts on Law, policing, forensics, financial, cyber and economic crimes took sessions along with noted experts on crime against women, community policing and police accountability and ethics. The trainees visited various Delhi Police facilities and interacted with Delhi police officers along with their exposure visit to the Supreme Court of India and the National Parliament where they could observe a live parliamentary debate . The trainees got opportunity to explore the cultural aspects of the national capital.36 officers from the 40 th Batch of DSP basic course attended this program.

The Director CBI inaugurated at the National Law University Delhi a course on Advanced Law Enforcement and Mega City Policing meant for trainee police officers . This is now an institutionalised program a product of the MOU MP police has established with the NLU for Training and Research. This is a flagship program offered by NLU for police officers and with MP police they have agreed to make it a part of DSP Basic course as an essential component of training for each batch.

A two day seminar was held on traffic management at MP police academy, Bhauri by Shri Mahendra Jain, ASP Traffic, Indore who has an experience of over 25 years in the field of traffic, under the aegis of Mrs Ruchi Vardhan Mishra, SSP, Indore. The objective of the seminar was to give an overview of Road traffic, it's problems, solutions and future trends to DSP trainees of 39th and 40th batch.
Trainees were introduced with ITMS and other terminologies and technologies used in traffic management as well as modernization of traffic management.

As a part of our training Probationer of 39th and 40th DSP Batch were sent to Indore and Bhopal respectively for learning Thana management.
The visit commenced on 17th April 2019 with 39th DSP batch leaving for Indore and 40th batch for Bhopal. After briefing from the senior officials of respective districts, the trainees were sent to different thanas situated at various locations in a pair for 4 days.
Trainees keenly and closely observed the working of thana, which is the fundamental unit of police. They analysed various registers like VCNB, historysheet, CSP's digest etc. They went for night patrolling, observed court proceedings, encountered criminal cases. As a move towards modernization and digitization of police, they gained knowledge about CCTNS, Dial 100.
This visit clearly tried to bridge the gap between theoretical and practical aspect of thana management.
After Debriefing from the senior officers the visit concluded on 21st April, 2019.
