Effect of electric car collision. There are multiple explosions as the heavy duty lithium-ion batteries explode compartment-wise.

A lithium fire is a Class D fire that requires a specialized fire extinguisher. Regular extinguishers meant for Class A, B & C fires (like water, foam, dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide and clean agent) cannot and should not be used on Class D fires, as they will worsen the fire instead of dousing it, and they can even fatally injure the user.

Fumes of lithium fires are toxic.
