CHILD LABOUR PROHIBITION AND REGULATION ACT , 1986
Every year 12th June is observed as child labor Prohibition Day.
The child labor {Prohibition and regulation} bill 1986 having been passed by both the Houses of Parliament received the assent of the President on 23rd December, 1986. It came on the Statute Book as “THE CHILD LABOR {PROHIBITION AND REGULATION} ACT, 1986
INTERNATIONAL Labour organization reports about 152 million children globally are engaged in child labour Out of which 72 million children are evolved in hazardous work.
To eradicate child labour Our government has taken many measures.
Amendment Act, 2016- Prohibits the employment of children below 14 years .
Numerous child rights activists and
NGO’s have been at forefront of tackling the problem of child labour in India.
One such small step taken up by Nandi school state Board cant Ballari on 13th June 2022 to spread awareness among students and the society.
Enacts of child labour was shown to the school children.
Children are precious, let them be children, not workers, children deserve holding book, not bricks. Stop child labour!! These children are tomorrow’s Future!! This was the message given to the students in the enacts.
Our school students took out a Rally with posters and Banners
Slogans by the students were , Act now End child labour, Child is for learning not for earning etc
The rally started from from Railway Station via Royal Circle, Bangalore road, Brucepet Police station to Moti Circle and RangaMandir.
A token of appreciation was given by our honourable DC of Ballari PAVAN KUMAR MALAPATI.
