✨ We are delighted to share another proud achievement of the Department of Environmental Science, S.R.F College!

Two of our accomplished alumni, Sukanta Ghosh and Biswajit Halder, who graduated from our department with excellent academic performance, have successfully completed a very important phase of their early career journey.

They have successfully completed project tenure as Project Technical Support-II (Health Assistant) under the prestigious project “Accelerating Efforts to End TB in India” at the ICMR – National Institute for Research in Bacterial Infections (NIRBI) — a premier and highly renowned institution under the Government of India.

Being associated with an ICMR–NIRBI project is a remarkable achievement in itself.

We are immensely proud of their accomplishments and firmly believe that this valuable experience will greatly contribute to their future academic and professional growth. We are confident that they will continue to excel and make meaningful contributions in the fields of public health and environmental science.

We are immensely proud to share the inspiring journey of two of our distinguished alumni from the Department of Environmental Science — Ms. Pooja Mondal and Mr. Arnab Khan.

Both of them completed their graduation from our department with excellent academic performance, followed by their Master’s degrees, and have now successfully established themselves in the professional field.

🔹 Ms. Pooja Mondal is currently serving as a Project Coordinator at Karunalaya Social Welfare Foundation, working in the WASH sector in the western region of Rajasthan, with projects funded by the Azim Premji Foundation. She also has prior experience as a Project Coordinator under a TATA Capital-funded initiative.

🔹 Mr. Arnab Khan is working as an Associate Resource Person with the Azim Premji Foundation in Pratapgarh, Rajasthan, contributing meaningfully to development initiatives.

Their dedication, hard work, and commitment to environmental and social causes truly reflect the values and academic strength of our department. We take great pride in their achievements and wish them continued success in their professional journey.

We are confident that they will continue to grow, excel, and contribute significantly to both academic and professional domains in the years ahead.

We are delighted to share that Nigar Sultana and Taniya Hossain, students of the Department of Environmental Science, S.R.F College have successfully participated in the Rock Climbing Course & Adventure Camp, organized by one of the esteemed institute on rock climbing and adventure -Susunia Adventure Academy, held on 21st December- 24th December, 2025.

Adding to this remarkable achievement, the participants have successfully secured Grade ‘A’, reflecting their excellence, dedication, and outstanding performance.

This accomplishment highlights their courage, determination, physical endurance, and adventurous spirit. Such experiences not only build strength and confidence but also nurture leadership, teamwork, and resilience. 💪🌿

We are delighted to share the joyful news that the SRF College Magazine"চরৈবেতি" (Charaiveti) for the academic year 2024–2025 has been officially published.
It is a matter of immense pride for us that several students from the Department of Environmental Science have contributed their valuable writings to this publication. Their creativity and intellectual depth are beautifully reflected through a diverse range of works, including environmental articles, poems, and short stories. Notably, around seven of our students have showcased their talent, making this achievement truly commendable for our department as well as for the college as a whole.
Not only our students, but all the faculty members of the department have also contributed highly informative and engaging write-ups on various emerging issues, making this publication even more enriching. This is truly a matter of great pride for our department.
Adding to this pride, the cover page of the magazine has been thoughtfully designed by our respected faculty member, Mrs. Poushali Chattaraj. Her creative contribution has given the magazine a unique and elegant identity.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our respected Principal Sir for his constant encouragement and support. We also extend our sincere thanks to the esteemed Editor of the magazine for his dedicated efforts in bringing out this wonderful publication.
