On receiving information from local sources regarding illegal excavation of earth at Chimta Bhabanipur Ferry Ghat, a police team of Hasnabad PS conducted a raid.
During the raid, one excavator (JCB) along with stored earth was seized.

In this connection, a specific case is being initiated under relevant provisions of law.Such drives against illegal earth excavation will continue.

স্থানীয় সূত্রে চিমটা ভবানীপুর ফেরিঘাটে অবৈধভাবে মাটি কাটার খবর পেয়ে হাসনাবাদ থানার একটি দল অভিযান চালায়।
অভিযান চলাকালীন একটি এক্সকাভেটর (জেসিবি) সহ মজুত করা মাটি বাজেয়াপ্ত করা হয়।

এই ঘটনায় সংশ্লিষ্ট ধারায় একটি নির্দিষ্ট মামলা রুজু হয়| অবৈধ মাটি কাটার বিরুদ্ধে এই ধরনের অভিযান ভবিষ্যতেও অব্যাহত থাকবে।

🚨 Swift Action Against Cyber Crime by Basirhat District Police 🚨

Acting on inputs regarding cybercrime hotspots, Basirhat Police District conducted raids against the suspected accused persons. So far, 05 accused persons have been arrested, and 07 bank passbooks, 14 ATM cards, 02 SIM cards and 10 cheque books have been seized.
Further efforts are underway to identify and arrest other persons involved in the crime.

আজ, ২৫ সেপ্টেম্বর, ২০২৬ সকাল ১১টায় বসিরহাট টাউন হলে বসিরহাট পুলিশ জেলার উদ্যোগে একটি বিশেষ সাইবার সচেতনতা কর্মসূচির আয়োজন করা হয়। বসিরহাট পুলিশ জেলার পুলিশ সুপার (এসপি), একটি স্বনামধন্য ব্যাঙ্কের সাইবার বিশেষজ্ঞ দল এবং পুলিশের ঊর্ধ্বতন আধিকারিকদের যৌথ তত্ত্বাবধানে এই আলোচনা সভাটি পরিচালিত হয়। এর মূল উদ্দেশ্য ছিল ছাত্রছাত্রী ও প্রবীণ নাগরিকদের নতুন ধরনের সাইবার হুমকি, অনলাইন আর্থিক প্রতারণা এবং এর প্রয়োজনীয় প্রতিরোধমূলক ব্যবস্থা সম্পর্কে সচেতন করা।

Basirhat Police District Organizes Special Cyber Awareness Drive; Restores 120 Lost Phones and Defrauded Funds of Rs. 14,70,000/- to Citizens

Basirhat Police District organized a special Cyber Awareness Program today, September 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Town Hall, Basirhat. Focused primarily on educating students and senior citizens about emerging cyber threats, online financial fraud, and essential preventive measures, the session was conducted under the guidance of SP Basirhat in coordination with Cyber Expert team of a reputed bank, and senior police officers.
Basirhat Police formally handed over around 120 recovered lost mobile phones to their rightful owners during the event. Additionally, recovered cheated funds of approx 14,70,000/- were restored to cyber fraud victims through formal cheque presentations.
