Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia, proudly celebrated the 100th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, remembering the legendary singer, composer, lyricist, filmmaker, and cultural icon of Assam.
Dr. Bhupen Hazarika’s timeless music beautifully reflected the spirit, struggles, and aspirations of humanity. His immortal contribution to Assamese culture continues to inspire generations and unite people through the universal language of music.

🩺 60-Day Intensified IEC Campaign on HIV Awareness 🩺
The District Health Society, Barpeta launched the 60-Day Intensified IEC Campaign on HIV Awareness Programme, held at Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia on 8th September 2026, from 11:00 AM onwards.
The campaign aims to create awareness among students and the community about HIV prevention, treatment, stigma reduction, and other important HIV-related issues. Such initiatives play a vital role in promoting accurate knowledge, responsible practices, and a supportive environment for all.

We sincerely thank the invited guests and faculty members of Nabajyoti College for their valuable presence and support.

The 55th Freshers’ Social of Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia, was graced by Dr. Bhusan Chandra Pathak, Principal, B.H. College, Howly, as the Special Invited Speaker. His encouraging, inspiring and insightful speech deeply motivated our students and added immense value to the occasion.
A proud moment for Nabajyoti College was the felicitation of Lutfa Khanam, who secured Rank 1 in Political Science (Undergraduate) under Gauhati University. Her outstanding achievement stands as a shining example of dedication, perseverance and academic excellence.
On the same platform, Dr. M. S. Sheikh, Retired Professor & former HoD, Department of Zoology, honoured Lutfa Khanam and presented her with a cash award of ₹10,000 in recognition of her remarkable academic achievement.
