The 18th Annual Function “Navankur” of Mount Litera Public School, Ulaw, was celebrated with great enthusiasm
Colorful performances by 800 children conveyed a strong message of education, values, and global ethics.

The 18th Annual Function-cum-Cultural Programme “Navankur” was celebrated with grandeur and enthusiasm on Tuesday at the campus of Mount Litera Public School, Ulaw. The programme was inaugurated jointly by the Chief Guest, Mr. Satya Prakash, Executive Director of Barauni Refinery; Special Guest, Mr. Manish Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Begusarai; Esteemed Guest, Mrs. Pinky Devi, Mayor of Begusarai; representatives from G-Group, Priyaranjan and Anshu Sinha; School Director Dr. Manish Deva; and the school Principal, Dr. Sheetal, by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Mr. Satya Prakash said that Indian education is on a continuous journey of development, drawing inspiration from its rich ancient roots and carrying forward the tradition of becoming a global leader in knowledge.
Special Guest, Superintendent of Police Mr. Manish Kumar, stated that education is the foundation of a just and inclusive society. He appreciated the effective presentation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations in 2015 through the children’s performances and specially commended Principal Dr. Sheetal for her continuous efforts toward value-based education.
Mayor Mrs. Pinky Devi remarked that today’s young children are the future of India. For their all-round development, cooperation between schools and parents is essential, as only then can a progressive society and a strong nation be built.
G-Learn Manager Priyaranjan said that Mount Litera’s new education system, “LITERA NOVA,” incorporates all 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, helping children receive education of global standards.
During the programme, nearly 800 students from Play Group to Class 12 enthusiastically participated in music, dance, drama, and various cultural activities.
Play Group students Jivisha, Mivaan Meher, Aadya, and Nursery students Anvi, Reyansh, Pranika Arora, Ditya, Vachi, and Srija presented delightful performances on songs such as “Jingle Bell” and “Prem Se Humko Jeene Do.”
Students from Classes I to III gave excellent performances on songs like “Ghanana-Ghanana,” “Wo Sikandar Hi Doston,” “Na Kaato Mujhe Dukh Ta Hai,” and “Bezubaan.”
Students of Classes VI and VII presented scenes from daily life through a mime show. Through yoga and meditation, they highlighted mental health; through a play on the theme of “Decent Job,” they emphasized the importance of participation in organizations; and through the play “Life on Land,” they powerfully depicted the emotions of wildlife displaced due to deforestation.
Principal Dr. Sheetal expressed her gratitude to all the guests, parents, teachers, and students for the successful organization of the programme. She explained that “Navankur” means a new beginning, which the children beautifully brought to life through Peace, People, Prosperity, Planet, and Partnership, creatively presenting all the core goals of the United Nations.
A special highlight of the programme was the children’s dance and live enactment celebrating the recent victory of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team under the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi.
School Director Dr. Manish Deva stated that for the holistic development of students, the school provides a team of skilled teachers, modern smart classes, horse riding, an AI robotics lab, a well-equipped computer lab, shooting classes, and G-Learn’s modern teaching methodology. He thanked all members of the school family for making the programme a grand success.
