Zonal President North Kashmir and MLA Uri, Dr. Sajjad Shafi Uri, thanked the mechanical department and Beacon for clearing the Baramulla-Uri highway. Many vehicles were stuck on the road, and the MLA Uri monitored the road conditions on the national highway and rescued all the cars. The MLA Uri advised people to stay home unless there was an emergency.

Baramulla: February 07 : Zonal President North kashmir and MLA uri Dr Sajad Shafi uri deeply saddened to learn about the tragic demise of Tameem Bilal, a 3-year-old resident of Boniyar, who lost his life in a drowning incident in Hapatkhai Nalla area on Thursday.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, particularly Zahoor Ahmad, the father of the deceased. I pray for the speedy recovery of Hadir Zahoor, the 5-year-old boy who was rescued and is currently stable.

I appreciate the prompt response of the locals who rescued both minors and shifted them to PHC Boniyar. I also acknowledge the efforts of the medical team who tried to save the life of tameem Bilal.

This incident is a stark reminder of the need for increased vigilance and safety measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.

May the soul of tameem Bilal rest in peace.

MLA URI Dr. Sajjad Shafi Uri Appointed Zonal President of JKNC North Zone

Srinagar:09 November 2024, Dr. Sajjad Shafi Uri, the sitting MLA from Uri and a former District President Baramulla, is the new Zonal President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference(JKNC) North Kashmir.

Dr. Shafi, whose strong leadership was much evident in Baramulla, is being given this role as an indication of the party’s efforts to enhance its organizational base in the region. This will enhance JKNC's outreach and influence across the north Kashmir of Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr Sajjad Shafi condems the recent killings at Botapathri, Gulmarg

Uri : Dr Sajjad Shafi MLA Uri condemns the recent attack on an army vehicle at Botapathri, Gulmarg in which 5 lives have been lost.

Dr Sajjad said he is deeply saddened and outraged by the tragic killing of army personnel and two potters, namely Mushtaq Ahmed Chaudhary form Nowshara And Manzoor Ahmed Mir from Barnate Boniyar

Out of the five killed two of them were the potters from Nowshera and bernate, Boniyar , which are the part of Uri assembly constituency.

Dr Sajad Shafi prayed for the departed Soul and requested the central and UT government to provide Ex gratia and the Job to the family members of the deceased as they have lost the bread earners.

Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the victims during this incredibly difficult time. We stand in solidarity with them, offering our full support and heartfelt condolences."
