ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಮಹದೇವಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸದ್ದಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಳಿಸಿಹಾಕಿದ, ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿದ ಅಥವಾ ಜನಾದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕಳ್ಳದಾರಿಯಿಂದ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿದ ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಹಗರಣ. ಅದು ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅಥವಾ ಕಣ್ತಪ್ಪಿನಿಂದ ಆದ ಕೆಲಸವಲ್ಲ. ಅದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಚಾಣಾಕ್ಷತೆಯಿಂದ ಯೋಜಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗತಗೊಳಿಸಲಾದ ಮತಗಳ್ಳತನ. ಈಗ, ಬಿಹಾರದ ವಿಶೇಷ ತೀವ್ರ ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಣೆ (SIR) ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದೂ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಆತಂಕಕಾರಿ - ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳು, ಅನುಮಾನಾಸ್ಪದ ಅಳಿಸುವಿಕೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಲಜ್ಜೆಗೆಟ್ಟ ವಂಚನೆಗಳು ಈ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿವೆ.
ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳು. ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ವಿಧಾನಗಳು. ಆದರೆ ಒಂದೇ ಗುರಿ: ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮತವನ್ನು ಕದಿಯುವ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿಕ್ಕುವುದು. ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂವಿಧಾನವು ‘ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಒಂದು ಮತ’ ಎಂಬ ಪವಿತ್ರ ತತ್ವದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿದೆ. ಆ ತತ್ವವನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲಂಘಿಸಿದಾಗ ಆಗುವುದು ಕೇವಲ ಒಂದು ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಬದಲಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವದ ಆತ್ಮದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ದಾಳಿ ಎಂದು ನೋಡಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಂದು ಭಾರತದ ಜನರು ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಸಹಾಯಕತೆಯಿಂದ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ.
• ಕಳೆದ ಕೆಲವು ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮತಗಳ್ಳತನವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲು 15 ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಅರ್ಜಿಗೆ ಸಹಿ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ
• ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗದ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯನ್ನು ಈಗಲೇ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿ 10 ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರು ಮಿಸ್ಡ್ ಕಾಲ್ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ
ಇದು ಜನಾಂದೋಲನ - ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರದ ಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿಸಲು, ಜನರ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿಕ್ಕಲು ಅಥವಾ ಮೌನವಾಗಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಂಬುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಭಾರತೀಯರೂ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
