Dear Parents, Children and Staff of Shiksha Niketan,
We are very proud to announce that Shiksha Niketan has been awarded "British Council's Award for Foundation Certificate on International Dimensions in Schools".
Our School’s vision and its teacher's dedication towards creative teaching and learning processes that are congruous with the international standards of education has been recognised and lauded by the British Council.
The Council has appreciated our student engagement in learning which was visible in all the school activities conducted. They underscored the discernable passion of teachers to ingrain the concepts through creative methodologies in all the activities.
Some of the specially mentioned activities in Activity 1, include ‘Boxes and Ball’ and ‘paper strips of latitudes’. The hands on, kinaesthetic activities were appreciated for clarifying the concepts precisely.
Similarly, in Curriculum Activity 2; Freezing and Thawing, Balloon Rocks and Cracking Bread; the hands-on activities were commended for having conducted in a way that would have a lasting impression among students in understanding the process of effects of external factors in breaking rocks and thus soil formation.
