"Lakefronts" as the Town Square for Bangalore- A Research Redefining the Town-Square - A study on Bangalore Lakes: Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka, is located in South India. Please help us find the same!

Bangalore has a population of appx 8.4 millions; it is India's fifth most populous city, and one of the fastest growing metropolis in the world. Analyzing the evolving urban fabric of the city through its open spaces allowed us to understand its trans-formative identity from traditional “pete markets” to “Garden City” and then, “Silicon Valley”. The city continues to grow rapidly to accommodate it

's global role in the IT industry. As a result, open spaces are rapidly being replaced by buildings. The precondition says that the city has lost both of its identities. The need for urban open space that reduces stress and encourages social interaction thereby creating a sense of community, has never been greater. The research team feels that lakes in the city have the potential to be rejuvenated as successful public space where people come together as citizens, neighbors and friends. Now the question is... Is there a possibility of making Bangalore "a city of lakes",wherein lakefronts are defined as Town Squares?? We would love to hear from you……
