*Metro Travel Social Experiment – Autism Awareness & Life Skills Training*

Our students participated in a structured community-based learning experience, travelling via the metro from *Baiyappanahalli to Whitefield (Phoenix Mall)*. This activity was designed as a real-life social experiment to enhance functional independence and promote Autism Awareness.
This real-life social experience focused on developing essential life skills such as *discipline in public spaces, money transactions, queue waiting, and social awareness.*
At the destination, students practiced communication and independence by interacting with peers and ordering food. The return journey reinforced these functional and adaptive skills.
Such experiences support individuals with autism in building confidence, independence, and meaningful participation in everyday community settings.

“The best way to learn vocational skills and functional academics is through hands-on practice and real-life activities. This helps our children improve daily living skills and enhances their overall skill-development. Step-by-step teaching, visual supports, and consistent routine make learning meaningful and build confidence for independence.”
