Join us in remembrance of the eternal defender of democratic rights, Gauri Lankesh, on her 10th martyrdom day!
A vocal critic of the RSS-BJP, her freedom to speak in a republic was cut short by saffron goons. Justice has yet to be served by the judiciary.
Almost a hundred years ago, Comrade Bhagat Singh wrote on the need for students to become part of the process of radical social change. Gauri Lankesh's assassination exemplifies the state of democracy in our society. This must not be seen in isolation from the rising attacks on students on campuses in the form of privatisation, saffronisation, and centralisation. Students must jump into the fray to fight against the erosion of democracy both inside and outside campuses.
Join us in our endeavour to build a bridge between our democratic freedom, inside and outside campuses.
Speakers:
Meena Kandasamy (Poet, Novelist, Activist & Academic)
Comrade Danish Ali (AISA, JNUSU Joint Secretary)
Mark your calendars!
