In response to MP Shri Tejasvi Surya’s question on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), the Government informed that, as of July 2026, 55,053 MSMEs, 2,772 startups and 10,896 women entrepreneurs from Karnataka are registered on GeM.

Bengaluru alone accounts for 16,091 MSMEs, 1,951 startups and 3,052 women entrepreneurs on the platform. Karnataka also has 266 registered SHGs, including 9 from Bengaluru.

At the national level, MSME procurement through GeM stood at ₹2.37 lakh crore in FY 2025–26, while AI/ML-based analytics are being used to detect abnormal pricing, order splitting and potential collusion.

Special Recognised Institutions For The Education Of Divyangjans

In response to MP Shri Tejasvi Surya’s question on Divyangjan education and support, the Government informed that Rs. 452.38 crore was released for infrastructure and Rs. 544.16 crore for resources and training to National Institutes over the last five years.

In response to MP Shri Tejasvi Surya's clubbed question on the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), the central Government stated that between 2023 and 2026, Bengaluru (Urban & Rural) accounted for 15.7 lakh Mudra loans worth ₹20,667.63 crore. Of these, 9.41 lakh loans (60%) were sanctioned to women entrepreneurs, while 4.06 lakh loans (26%) supported first-time entrepreneurs.

Across Karnataka, over 1.5 crore loans were sanctioned, with 1.06 crore women beneficiaries (71%) and 27.62 lakh first-time entrepreneurs accessing institutional credit.

Bigger, faster and cheaper credit for Bengaluru’s MSEs.

In response to MP Shri Tejasvi Surya’s question on CGTMSE, the Government informed that Bengaluru alone received ₹15,821 crore in collateral-free credit guarantees during 2025-26, more than double the ₹6,938 crore extended in 2023-24.

Across Karnataka, 1.48 lakh MSMEs received collateral-free credit guarantees worth ₹28,673 crore in 2025–26, up from 1.36 lakh MSMEs and ₹14,016 crore in 2023–24

Further, the guarantee ceiling has been enhanced to ₹10 crore, the collateral-free loan limit doubled to ₹20 lakh, and guarantee fees reduced by 50% to as low as 0.37%, making institutional credit more accessible and affordable for micro and small enterprises.

In response to MP Shri Tejasvi Surya's question during the Budget Session 2026 on the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF), the Government had stated that the Integrated IEPF Portal had recently been launched to simplify and digitise the claims process. Today, that reform is delivering measurable results.

Over the last two years, 75,417 claims have been approved, 4.36 crore shares have been restored to their rightful owners, and ₹77.82 crore in unpaid dividends has been refunded. The Integrated IEPF Portal has significantly improved digital verification, transparency, and the speed of claim processing.

This is the PM Modi Government's governance model in action - delivering structural reforms, leveraging technology, and ensuring tangible benefits for citizens.
