Toyota Gosei South India Pvt. Ltd. visited Karnataka Institute of Leather & Fashion Technology (KILT) to strengthen industry–academia collaboration and create meaningful opportunities for mutual development. Through this interaction, Toyota Gosei gained insights into the skills and competencies required by the industry, while KILT explored ways to align student training, curriculum, and practical exposure with current and future industry needs.

This collaboration is expected to enhance students’ employability, provide industry-oriented learning opportunities, and support Toyota Gosei in developing a skilled talent pool.

The Toyoda Gosei delegation included Mr. Eiji Sumida, Senior General Manager – Operations; Mr. Amaresh B. Kaladagi, Divisional Manager – Safety Systems; and Mr. Sudeep, Deputy Manager.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Siddalingappa B. Pujari, Director, KILT; Mr. Ranjan K. G., Principal; and Mr. Niraj Kumar Goutham, Head of Department.

The visit marked an important step towards building a strong partnership between industry and academia for the benefit of students and the workforce of the future.

Karnataka Institute of Leather & Fashion Technology (KILT) proudly celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The occasion served as a reminder of the sacrifices, courage, and determination of our freedom fighters who dedicated their lives to securing the freedom and sovereignty of our nation.

The celebration brought together students, faculty, and staff to honor the rich heritage of our country and to reaffirm our commitment to the ideals of democracy, unity, and national progress. Through various activities and interactions, the event inspired young minds to understand their roles and responsibilities as responsible citizens of India.

As we celebrate this historic milestone, let us remember that the true spirit of independence lies in contributing positively to society, respecting diversity, and working together for the development of our nation. Shubharambha 2026 – Academic Year Inauguration
A new journey begins at Karnataka Institute of Leather and Fashion Technology (KILT) as we warmly welcomed our first-year diploma students through the Academic Year Inauguration Programme – Shubharambha 2026. The theme of the programme was "Igniting Young Minds at KILT."
The event was graced by Dr. Nagalakshmi Choudhary, Chairperson of the Karnataka State Commission for Women, as the Chief Guest, and Smt. Kathyayini Devi, KAS, Chief Operating Officer (Skills), Sanjeevini - Karnataka State Rural Livelihood Mission, as the Guest of Honour.
The programme was also attended by our Director Sri Siddalingappa B. Pujari, Deputy Director Sri Gurudat, Principal Sri Ranjan K. G., HOD Sri Niraj Kumar, and esteemed faculty members. Their inspiring words encouraged students to dream big, innovate, and lead with purpose in the fields of Leather and Fashion Technology.
As our students embark on this exciting academic journey, we look forward to a year filled with learning, creativity, skill development, and transformation.
