The 18th General K.S. Thimayya Memorial Lecture will be held on Saturday, 5th November, 2022 at the Good Shepherd Auditorium, Residency Road, Bengaluru.
Our speaker this year is Dr. Aditya Sondhi - a designated Senior Advocate practising before the Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Karnataka. He has served as Additional Advocate General for Karnataka and has taught and lectured widely. In addition to being one of the finest legal minds of our times, he is a research scholar, playwright, author, pod caster, and philanthropist.
Dr. Sondhi is an alumnus of Bishop Cotton Boys' School (Captain of School ‘93) and the National Law School of India University. He has a PhD in political science on civil-military relations in India and Pakistan from Mysore University.
He will be speaking on 'The Constitution and the Idea of India'.
The General K.S. Thimayya Medal will be presented to Air Vice Marshal Divakar Paul Upot VSM (Retd).
Air Vice Marshal Upot, an alumnus of Bishop Cotton Boys' School, is a decorated fighter pilot, who has extensive experience on frontline fighter bases. He has flown a number of jets including the MiG-21, MiG-23, and MiG-29. He has commanded a MiG-29 Squadron as a Wing Commander, a frontline Su-30 Base as an Air Commodore, and was the Commandant of the College of Air Warfare, Secunderabad.
