A wounded doctor's voice which echoed in the whole nation.
Forcing them to stop the functioning of the hospital.
Every single assault kills the desire of aspiring students for becoming a doctor.
What more a gift can he get before taking the hippocratus oath itself, that he may be forced to change his profession by their barbaric behavior.
An incident which happened to a working doctor on duty, leaving him injured greviously.
A lone doctor, poor administration, poor health care delivery system or an ignorant CM. Who should be blamed❓❓❓
A doctor sacrifices a lot in order to give the best service to his patients.
The IMA along with various association(URDA, KARD,JDA of different medical college and state), across the nation has supported and called for withdrawal of nonessential medical services from 6:00am on 17th june to 6:00am18th june.
In support of the same, the Vijayanagara Institute of Medical Sciences, Ballari ,KARNATAKA stands for the doctors of the NRSMCH KOLKATTA and seeks for the early justice.

Demands for
1)NATIONAL LAW TO ENFORCE VIOLENCE AGAINST HOSPITAL.
2)ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY AGAINST VIOLENCE ON DOCTOR AND HEALTHCARE ESTABLISHMENT.
3)HOSPITAL SHOULD BE DECLARED AS SPECIAL ZONE AND PROVIDE 24*7 SECURITY UNDER CCTV SURVEILLANCE.
4)A NEED TO CHANGE IN HEALTH CARE AND EDUCATION DELIVERY SYSTEM.

Yet there are various other problems to be addressed at the institute level of the state.
Keeping in mind the good relationship between patient and doctor, where again service to humanity stands tall.

This protest may not be the end and we will strike back if necessary action are not taken towards it.

Working round the clock, no proper sleep, no timely food, sacrificing personal and social life; all to save someone’s life and bring smiles in patients family. But what are we paid in return, getting smashed for no mistake, insecure work place and political threats. How will the saviour serve when he himself is insecure and becomes a hostage in his own work place.
Yesterday it was Mumbai today Kolkata and tomorrow somewhere else... After every attack we come to streets and fight and the government as always has a blind eye. This isn’t going to stop until a strong act is passed and executed.

Condemning the barbaric act at NRS Medical College, Kolkata and raising atrocities against Doctors across India, JDA VIMS along with the IMA held a protest and submitted a memorandum to the DC’s office.

We the medical students of BALLARI, Karnataka have protested against the abserd NMC bill by hosting VAIDYA CHAITNYA YATRA and WHITE ROSE protset ...
We tried enlightening ppl about demerits of NMC by our CHAITNYA YATRA and staged our protest by presenting WHITE ROSE to Mr B Sriramulu, MP Ballari and Dr Ramprasath Manohar, DC Ballari !!!

As a response to the Nation wide protest staged by Medical students and IMA , union Govt considered our recommendations and referred the NMC Bill to Standing Committee.

We wholeheartedly thank our fellow medicos, IMA Ballari Branch, IMA Karnataka and everyone for supporting us in this battle to safeguard HEALTH CARE system .

Time and again we the budding doctors are victimized by various Hasty laws .... Adding to the list We have a new apathy waiting to choke us in the name of NMC (specially the Exit exam).... Now is the time to raise our Voice against this evil bill getting ready to choke us !!!!
We urge all my fellow medicos and doctors of Ballari to join the
"VAIDYA CHAITNYA YATRA" staged by Students of VIMS Ballari in collaboration with IMA Ballari and JDA VIMS on January the 1st 2018.

VAIDYA CHAITNYA YATRA
1)mode of yatra: Bike rally and a flash mob by Students of VIMS.
2) route: VIMS campus to Sudha cross to Sp circle to Durgama Temple to DC's office.
3) Time: 10:30 am
4) Day: 1/01/18 , Monday.
5) starting point: VIMS library.
6) instructions: All bikers are requested to come with Helmet + Driving licence + College ID card+ Apron.
