Good Evening, Everybody, it's time for introducing our second finalist, please welcome the lady with the MIDAS Touch, the one and only Dr. JAYASHREE SHANKER TODKAR, from Pune. She is Asia's 1st and Leading Bariatric and Laparoscopic Surgeon. She is a recipient of multiple National and International Awards. She completed her MBBS and MS from Pune University, BJ Medical College and pursued her Super Specialization in the field 9f Laparoscopy and Bariatric Surgery from University of Strasbourg, France; Cleveland Clinic USA; Gastro Obeso Centre, Brazil and University of Genoa, Italy. In over a span of 25 yrs of her surgical practice, she has done more than 50000 surgeries and nearly 6000 Bariatric Surgeries in India and abroad. She is the 1st Indian recipient of multiple international awards from American Society of Bariatric Surgery and International Federation of Surgery for Obesity. She is involved in a number of clinical research programs and has multiple publications in the International Index Journals. She is the recipient of the Prestigious "Vivian FOENCSA Award" for innovation in the surgical treatment of TYPE II Diabetes from the American Diabetes Association in 2016. She entered the LIMCA BOOK OF RECORDS in 2005 for performing "46 HERNIA SURGERIES IN 10 HRS" and the record is still unbroken. She is the director of JT foundation. Teaching and Medical Research are her passion. She is the convener of Obesity Task Force of Government of Maharashtra. She has a dream to create a Healthy World Free of Diabesity: The Largest Killer Disease of 21st Century. With her initiative in the campaign of "FIGHT CHILDHOOD OBESITY" Rotary Club, of Pune has picked it up as their signature project, and this campaign will reach more than 7000 Schools in Pune. She aims to start campaigns to fight against OBESITY and Diabetes throughout INDIA.
