Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Farm Science Center) works at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar formerly known as Aurangabad of Maharashtra under Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani and Indian Council of Agriculture Research, New Delhi KVK, is an integral part of the National Agricultural Research System (NARS), aims at assessment of location specific technology modules in agriculture and allied e
nterprises, through technology assessment, refinement and demonstrations. KVKs have been functioning as Knowledge and Resource Centre of agricultural technology supporting initiatives of public, private and voluntary sector for improving the agricultural economy of the district and are linking the NARS with extension system and farmers.
कृषि विज्ञान केंद्र हे राष्ट्रीय कृषि संशोधन प्रणाली चा अविभाज्य भाग आहे. तंत्रज्ञान मुल्यांकन, शुद्धता आणि प्रात्यक्षिकांद्वारे कृषि संबंधित स्थान विशिष्ठ तंत्रज्ञान मोड्यूल चे मुल्यांकन करणे हे कृषि विज्ञान केंद्राचे उद्दिष्ठ आहे. कृषि विज्ञान केंद्र हे जिल्यातील कृषि अर्थशास्त्र उंचावण्यासाठी कृषि तंत्रज्ञान आणि संबंधित सार्वजनिक, खाजगी आणि स्वयंसेवी क्षेत्राच्या संकल्पना या संबंधित ज्ञान आणि संसाधन केंद्र म्हणून कार्य करतात. त्याचबरोबर राष्ट्रीय कृषि संशोधन प्रणाली, विस्तार यंत्रणा आणि शेतकरी यांच्यात दुवा साधण्याचे कामही कृषि विज्ञान केंद्र करतात. Mandates / Functions of KVK:
The mandate of KVK is Technology Assessment and Demonstration for its Application and Capacity Development.To implement the mandate effectively, the following activities are envisaged for each KVK
On-farm testing to assess the location specificity of agricultural technologies under various farming systems. Capacity development of farmers and extension personnel to update their knowledge and skills on modern agricultural technologies. To work as Knowledge and Resource Centre of agricultural technologies for supporting initiatives of public, private and voluntary sector in improving the agricultural economy of the district. Provide farm advisories using ICT and other media means on varied subjects of interest to farmers
In addition, KVKs produce quality technological products (seed, planting material, bio-agents, livestock) and make it available to farmers, organize frontline extension activities, identify and document selected farm innovations and converge with ongoing schemes and programs within the mandate
केव्हीके चे कार्ये / उद्दिष्टे :
अनुप्रयोग आणि क्षमता विकासासाठी तंत्रज्ञान मुल्यांकन आणि प्रात्यक्षिक करणे हे केव्हीके चे उद्दिष्ट आहे. हि सर्व उद्दिष्टे पूर्ण करण्यासाठी केहीके ला खालील कार्ये परिकल्पित केलेली आहेत.
१. विविध कृषि व्यवस्थेमधील स्थान (स्थळ) निहाय कृषि तंत्रज्ञानाचे शेतावरील चाचणी द्वारे मुल्यांकन करणे.
२. शेतकऱ्यांच्या शेतात तंत्रज्ञानाची उत्पादन क्षमता स्थापित करण्यासाठी आद्यरेषा प्रात्यक्षिके घेणे.
३. आधुनिक कृषि तंत्रज्ञानाचे ज्ञान आणि कौशल्य यांची माहिती अद्यावत करण्यासाठी शेतकरी आणि विस्तार कार्यकर्ते यांची क्षमता विकास करणे.
४. जिल्ह्यातील कृषि अर्थव्यवस्था सुधारण्यासाठी सार्वजनिक, खाजगी आणि ऐच्छिक क्षेत्राच्या कृषिविकासासंबंधी नाविन्यपूर्ण उपक्रमांसाठी कृषि तंत्रज्ञानाचे ज्ञान आणि संसाधन केंद्र म्हणून काम करणे.
५. माहिती व संपर्क तंत्रज्ञान आणि इतर माध्यमांचा वापर करून शेतकऱ्यांना विविध कृषी विषयक कृषि सल्ला देणे
याव्यतिरिक्त केव्हीके द्वारे गुणवत्ता पूर्ण कृषि तांत्रिक निविष्ठांचे (बियाणे लागवड साहित्य, जैविक उत्पादने, पशुधन इत्यादी.) उत्पादन करून शेतकऱ्यांसाठी उपलब्ध करून देण्यात येतात.विविध आद्यरेषा विस्तार कार्यक्रमांचे आयोजन करणे शेतीतील नवीन कल्पना किंवा तंत्रज्ञान ओळखून त्यांचे दस्तावेज तयार करणे.तसेच सध्या सुरु असणाऱ्या विविध कृषि योजना आणि कार्यक्रम यांची माहिती घेऊन शेतकऱ्यांपर्यंत पोहचवणे हि सर्व देखील कृषि विज्ञान केंद्राची कार्ये आहेत.
