InnovoQuest 2.0 Successfully Organized at SPNREC Araria

On 08 April 2026, the Startup Cell of Shri Phanishwar Nath Renu Engineering College (SPNREC), Araria successfully organized InnovoQuest 2.0 – Tech Exhibition and Idea Presentation in collaboration with Department of Industries, Bihar, Startup India, and Startup Bihar at the Auditorium Hall from 10:00 AM onwards.

Students from SPNREC Araria, Government College of Engineering Kishanganj, and Government Polytechnic Araria actively participated and showcased their innovative startup ideas, technical models, prototypes, and projects. The event aimed to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and technical skills among students while strengthening the startup ecosystem.

The Patron and Principal Dr. Aseem Kumar Thakur encouraged students to think creatively and move forward in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship. Organizing Secretary Prof. Sweety Kumari (Faculty Incharge, Startup Cell) highlighted that InnovoQuest 2.0 provided a strong platform for students to present their ideas and connect with industry-oriented innovation.

Coordinators of the event included Prof. Raj Sharma (ECE), Prof. Bihar Gaurav (ME), Prof. Md. Arman (CE), and Prof. Shweta Kumari (CSE), whose efforts ensured the smooth ex*****on of the program.

Winners of the competition:
1st Prize – Scan2Plate (Himanshu Kumar) – ₹5000
2nd Prize – Scanpex (Ayush & Team) – ₹3000
3rd Prize – Perfect Hack (Nitish & Team) – ₹2000

All winners are students of SPNREC Araria. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all participants, faculty members, and the Startup Cell team for their valuable contribution.

Jal Jeevan Hariyali Diwas Spnrec, Araria

Shri Phanishwar Nath Renu Engineering College, Araria celebrated Jal Jeevan Hariyali Diwas on 7 April 2026 with the objective of spreading awareness about water conservation, greenery, and agricultural innovation among students and society.

The theme of the program was “More production with less water: Changing agricultural landscape through innovation,” focusing on water conservation, modern irrigation techniques, and sustainable agricultural practices. The event was organized at the Smart Classroom of SPNREC Araria.

The program was held under the patronage of Principal Dr. Aseem Kumar Thakur, and coordinated by Nodal Officer (Jal Jeevan Hariyali) Prof. Md. Arman. Shri Gaurav Pratap Singh, District Agriculture Officer, Araria, attended the event as the chief guest and expert. He spoke about water conservation, drip and sprinkler irrigation, rainwater harvesting, and the impact of climate change on agriculture, and motivated students to adopt modern techniques for sustainable farming.

Group discussion, quiz competition, and essay writing competition were organized among students to create awareness about water conservation, greenery, and environmental protection. Students actively participated and shared their ideas on sustainable development and responsible use of water resources.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks to all guests, faculty members, and students for their active participation and support.

SPNREC Araria Organizes Mental Health Awareness Program

To promote awareness about mental well-being among students, SPNREC Araria organized a Mental Health Awareness Program on 14 March 2026 in collaboration with the Brahma Kumaris organization. The main objective of the program was to sensitize students about mental balance, emotional strength, and the importance of life.

The program was chaired by the Principal of the institute, Dr. Aseem Kumar Thakur. In his address, he emphasized that in today’s competitive environment, it is extremely important for students to take care of their mental health. He also highlighted that such initiatives play a significant role in the overall development of students.

On this occasion, the Nodal Officer (Mental Health Awareness), Prof. Gaurav Anand, spoke about various aspects of mental health and shared effective ways to develop positive thinking, manage stress, and build self-confidence. He encouraged students to move towards their goals while maintaining emotional balance.

The program was successfully coordinated by Prof. Raj Kumar, Prof. Aditya Ratan, and Prof. Sweety Kumari, who ensured active participation of students.

Speakers from the Brahma Kumaris organization – BK Bhaskar, BK Urmila, and BK Sanjay Kumar Gupta – shared simple techniques of meditation, yoga, and spiritual lifestyle to achieve mental peace and emotional stability. They motivated students to adopt a positive outlook in life.

A large number of students participated enthusiastically and expressed their queries related to mental health. The program concluded successfully with a vote of thanks.

This initiative proved to be highly inspiring and beneficial for students and marked an important step towards promoting mental health awareness on campus.

Jal Jeevan Hariyali Diwas Celebrated at SPNREC, Araria

Shri Phanishwar Nath Renu Engineering College, Araria celebrated Jal Jeevan Hariyali Diwas on 05 March 2026 (Thursday) to promote awareness about environmental conservation and sustainable energy.

On this occasion, several engaging activities such as Quiz Competition, Group Discussion, Painting Competition, and a Special Lecture Session were organized to encourage students to think about protecting natural resources and adopting eco-friendly practices.

The event was graced by Shri Krishna Kumar, Revenue Officer, Energy Department, Araria (Bihar) as the Chief Guest and Expert Speaker. During the special lecture, he highlighted this year’s theme “Promotion of Solar Energy and the Need for Energy Conservation.” He emphasized that solar energy is clean, renewable, and environmentally friendly, and that energy saved is energy generated.

Students were encouraged to adopt small energy-saving habits in daily life to reduce carbon footprint and help protect the environment. The program concluded with a collective pledge by students to promote environmental protection, energy conservation, and a greener lifestyle.

SPNREC Araria is proud to announce the celebration of National Science Day 2026 on 28th February 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Institute Auditorium.

We are honored to welcome Shri Vinod Duhan (IAS), District Magistrate, Araria, as the Chief Guest for this prestigious occasion.

✨ Highlights of the Event:
🎓 Grand Prize Distribution Ceremony for topper students of the C.V. Raman Talent Search Test in Science organized by Bihar Council on Science and Technology (BCST) for Classes 6 to 12 of Araria district.
🥇🥈 District 1st and 2nd position holders of various classes will also be honored at Patna by the department.
🏅 Medals, certificates, and cash prizes will be awarded to meritorious students.
