Report on Visit of Indian Army Military Police Trainees to District Courts, Ambala

1. Introduction
Following the orders of the District and Sessions Judge, Ambala, and the guidelines issued by the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, a study visit was organized for the Indian Army Military Police trainees on March 13, 2026. The primary objective was to provide the trainees with practical exposure to judicial proceedings and court protocols.
2. Court Proceedings Observation
The trainees were divided into groups and observed the proceedings in the following courts:
Court of Dr. Man Pal Ramawat, Ld. ADJ, Ambala: Legal nuances and judicial deliberations were observed.
Court of Sh. Vivek Chaudhary, Ld. ACJM, Ambala: Trainees gained insights into the functioning of the Court of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate.
The students were guided throughout the visit by Ms. Rita Suri, Sh. Surjit Singh, Sh. Ananya Bhardwaj, and Sh. Pratyaksh Prem from the Legal Aid Defence Counsel (LADC), Ambala.
3. Interaction and Protocol
During the visit, the trainees were apprised of the decorum and discipline required within the court premises. They interacted with the panel advocates to understand the role of the defense and the legal aid system in ensuring justice.
4. Concluding Ceremony and Token of Appreciation
To conclude the visit, the Commanding Officer (CO) of the Military Police expressed his gratitude to the judicial officers for facilitating this educational experience.
As a gesture of appreciation, the CO presented a memento to Sh. Parveen, Ld. Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM)-cum-Secretary, DLSA, Ambala. The visit ended with a group photograph of the trainees, military officials, and judicial officers for the official record.
