Report on Visit of Indian Army Military Police Trainees to District Courts, Ambala
​Date of Visit: March 13, 2026

Participants: Trainees/Students from 2 Corps Provost Unit, Indian Army
​1. Introduction
​Following the orders of the District and Sessions Judge, Ambala, and the guidelines issued by the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, a study visit was organized for the Indian Army Military Police trainees on March 13, 2026. The primary objective was to provide the trainees with practical exposure to judicial proceedings and court protocols.
​2. Court Proceedings Observation
​The trainees were divided into groups and observed the proceedings in the following courts:
​Court of Dr. Man Pal Ramawat, Ld. ADJ, Ambala: Legal nuances and judicial deliberations were observed.
​Court of Sh. Vivek Chaudhary, Ld. ACJM, Ambala: Trainees gained insights into the functioning of the Court of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate.
​The students were guided throughout the visit by Ms. Rita Suri, Sh. Surjit Singh, Sh. Ananya Bhardwaj, and Sh. Pratyaksh Prem from the Legal Aid Defence Counsel (LADC), Ambala.
​3. Interaction and Protocol
​During the visit, the trainees were apprised of the decorum and discipline required within the court premises. They interacted with the panel advocates to understand the role of the defense and the legal aid system in ensuring justice.
​4. Concluding Ceremony and Token of Appreciation
​To conclude the visit, the Commanding Officer (CO) of the Military Police expressed his gratitude to the judicial officers for facilitating this educational experience.
​As a gesture of appreciation, the CO presented a memento to Sh. Parveen, Ld. Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM)-cum-Secretary, DLSA, Ambala. The visit ended with a group photograph of the trainees, military officials, and judicial officers for the official record.

DLSA, Ambala organized A Walkathon Rally under one month "Drug Free Haryana Mission" Campaign, Ms.Kanchan Mahi, District and Sessions Judge, flagged off the rally by showing the green flag. The event aimed to promote a drug-free society through community participation.Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM)-cum-Secretary Sh. Parveen led the participants alongside all the Judicial officers. Rotary Club Ambala, President Sh. V.K. Sharma, members of Kala Dhara Group, Guru Ki Rehmat President Ms. Bimpy Rekhi, Ms. Geeta Rani, Deputy Superintendent of Central Jail Ambala, Sh. Yashpal Verma, Director, Atal Cancer Care Center, Ambala Cantt.,Police officials, court staff, DLSA staff, Chief LADCS Sh. Anil Kumar, other staff members, and NSS students actively joined the rally. At the rally's conclusion, CJM Sh. Parveen thanked all participants. Everyone took a pledge for drug-free living and cleanliness. The event successfully heightened anti-drug awareness across the district.

On the occasion of “Right to Know Day”
A legal awareness camp was organized by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ambala. Sh. Parveen, CJM-cum-Secretary, DLSA Ambala, provided important information to students about POCSO, JJ Act, PLA and other key legal topics.

A quiz competition was also conducted during the camp, and students who scored well were awarded certificates by Sh. Parveen, CJM/Secretary DLSA Ambala.
