Common cranes are migratory birds, often wintering in North and Central India, including the state of Gujarat, where the user is located.
They have grey bodies with a blackish head, a dull red nape, and a distinct white band running down from behind the eyes.
The birds typically measure between 100 to 130 cm (40-52 inches) in length, with a wingspan of 180 to 240 cm (71-96 inches).
Both male and female cranes look similar in appearance.
