Yes We Can NGO is an organization that is always ready to help those in need. It was founded in 2016 by Mrs. Preeti Faujdar in Agra. Since then, the organization has been actively involved in various social initiatives.
Key Initiatives:
1-Services During the COVID-19 Pandemic: While people were hiding in their homes due to fear of the pandemic, the members of Yes We Can bravely provided food, medicines, and oxygen cylinders to COVID patients. The organization was also well-prepared for the third wave, setting up testing centers, distributing masks, and providing steam inhalation facilities for those in need.
2-Addressing Child Labor and Education: The organization helped guide children who had never seen a school towards education. They played a crucial role in raising awareness among the parents of such children and established schools offering free education, along with supplies like notebooks and sports equipment.Empowering Women: The NGO helped women from low and lower-middle-class families become self-reliant by providing them with opportunities such as tiffin services, mask-making, and bag-making. To date, around 500 women have been empowered with employment opportunities through their initiatives.
3-Temple Restoration: The organization took the initiative to renovate an old temple in Sevla, which had been in a dilapidated state for 60 years. This brought back enthusiasm among the local community, and worship resumed in the temple after 22 years.
4- Promoting Cleanliness and Awareness: The NGO distributed masks and sanitizers in slum areas and raised awareness about cleanliness among the residents.
5-Educating About Good Touch and Bad Touch: To protect children from sexual abuse, the organization visited government schools and educated them about good touch and bad touch through projector-based presentations.Ration Distribution: During the COVID-19 lockdown, the NGO distributed free rations to those who did not have ration cards and were unable to earn a living due to the lockdown.
5-Nurturing Children's Talents: The organization conducted various competitions such as drawing, mehndi, debate, and writing competitions to help nurture children's talents and provided them with gifts and awards for encouragement.
The primary objective of Yes We Can NGO is to assist the underprivileged and needy sections of society and to empower them to become self-reliant.
