It's ! Today's tip is all about fire pump room placards for inadequate flow.

The water supply can be considered adequate even if 150 percent of the rated flow is not met, provided it meets 4.6.2.3.1 of NFPA 20. Provide a placard in the pump room indicating the minimum suction pressure that the fire pump can be tested at and also the required flow rate per 4.6.2.3.2. This would help evaluate the fire pump performance when flow testing is required for the acceptance test or annual testing by NFPA 25.
