Celebrating today the harvest festival of Shavuot!
According to Talmudic tradition, Shavuot marks the day when the Ten Commandments were given on Mount Sinai and also the end of the grain harvest season. One of the traditional symbols of Shavuot is an overflowing basket filled with fruits, vegetables, wheat, and dairy products. This custom dates back to the days of the Temple, when the people of Israel would bring their first fruits as an offering.
The strong connection between Shavuot and dairy products is no coincidence. The word “milk” appears around 50 times in the Bible, describing Israel as the “land of milk and honey”.
Today, Israelis consume around 160 liters of milk and dairy products per person each year — continuing a long tradition that links agriculture, nourishment, and celebration.

Con profundo dolor compartimos la triste noticia del fallecimiento de nuestro querido experto en producción lechera, Ing. Moshe (Marito) Reches. 😢
Durante 30 años, Marito fue referente, guía y maestro en nuestros tradicionales programas de capacitación sobre desarrollo del sector lechero, en Israel y en muchas de las misiones en el exterior.
Siempre con una sonrisa, haciendo un comentario simpático y en especial, acariciando con cariño a las vaquillonas durante las prácticas de medición de la condición corporal... así lo recordaremos. ❤🐄

With deep sorrow, we share the sad news of the passing of our dear dairy production expert, Eng. Moshe (Marito) Reches.
For over 30 years, Marito was our reference, guide, and mentor in our longstanding training programs on the development of the dairy sector, in Israel as well as in numerous missions abroad.
Always with a smile, making a friendly remark and especially, gently stroking the heifers during body condition scoring practices… this is how we will remember him.

Ingeniera civil y experta en redes de agua potable, Xóchitl es becaria MASHAV , graduada del Curso Internacional: Gestión Integral y Sostenible de Recursos Hídricos organizado por MATC - MASHAV Agricultural Training Center , en julio del 2022. Desde entonces y desde su ámbito profesional y personal, Xóchitl es una ferviente impulsora de acciones que promuevan la inclusión, dignificación y acceso a oportunidades de las mujeres tanto en las comunidades urbanas como rurales del Estado de Chiapas.
