Jacob Chayat was born in Iraq in 1939, made “Aliya” in 1951 settled and educated in Kibutz “Dafna”, served in IDF air force.

Studied art in Tel–Aviv – M.I.T.

Initiated and established the first painters and sculptors association in Bat-Yam in 1981 and was the first chairman of the association until 1984. Was the manager of “Ben-Ari” museum in Bat-Yam 1983-1988. In 1985 represented Israel in the 7th biennale in Valparaiso, Chile.

1989-1994 produced the three volumes of “Art-2000” the book of Israeli artists.

2005-2009 Teach art and volunteer at “Beit – Halochem” (voluntary association for disabled Veterans).

Exhibit 26 self exhibits and 29 group exhibits.

He is a Member of the painters & sculptors union in Tel-Aviv.
