๐ซ๐ฏ FIJI EMBASSY IN JERUSALEM REPRESENTATIVES ATTEND FIJIBATT MEDAL PARADE IN THE GOLAN HEIGHTS ๐บ๐ณ
Golan Heights 26.05.2026 - Representatives from the Embassy of the Republic of Fiji in Jerusalem attended the FIJIBATT Medal Parade held in Golan Heights under the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF).
Representing the Fiji Embassy at the medal parade were Counsellor, Mr. Josefa Tuima and the Defence Attachรฉ, Col. Isireli Narawa, who joined UNDOF Officials, military personnel, and distinguished guests in commemorating the dedicated service of Fijian peacekeepers serving in Golan Heights.
The medal parade was officiated by the UNDOF Force Commander - Major General Anita Asmah, who presented United Nations service medals to members of FIJIBATT in recognition of their commitment, professionalism, and contribution to maintaining peace and stability in the Golan Heights.
At the ceremony, the Force Commander commended the Fijian contingent for their continued dedication to international peacekeeping operations and acknowledged Fiji's longstanding contributions to United Nations peacekeeping missions.
The event highlighted the discipline, resilience, and proud tradition of service demonstrated by Fijian troops deployed with UNDOF. The presence of the Fiji Embassy Jerusalem representatives reaffirmed Fiji's strong support for its peacekeepers serving abroad and the nation's enduring commitment to global peace and security.
Fiji has maintained a respected presence within the UN peacekeeping operations for many years, with FIJIBATT continuing to play a significant role in supporting UNDOF'S mandate in the Golan Heights. The Fiji Embassy in Jerusalem is proud to be part of the event which recognizes the service of the 12th rotation of the Fijian contingent serving with UNDOF in Golan Heights.
