What an incredible evening at our annual United Hatzalah New York Gala, celebrating the dedication of over 8,600 volunteer heroes. With more than 1,300 supporters in the room, the energy, unity, and commitment to saving lives were unforgettable.

The evening was a powerful reminder of what your generosity, friendship, and belief in our mission make possible.
Together, we continue to strengthen and expand our lifesaving impact across Israel.

Young Leadership Co-Chairs Kyle and Brandon Lutnick opened the evening, helping set the tone for a memorable and inspiring night. It was also an honor to have Sapir and her son Harel Ehrlinger with us, whose dedication to our mission is remarkable.

Board member Alex Witkoff welcomed Ambassador Ron Dermer, who was honored with the Hero of Israel Award.
The award was presented in a moving moment together with Bar Kupershtein as a heartfelt expression of gratitude for Ambassador Dermer’s efforts in helping bring hostages home. The evening also featured a powerful fireside conversation highlighting leadership, resilience, and unwavering support for Israel.

We were also deeply honored to recognize comedian Modi with the Beacon of Joy Award, celebrating his ability to bring light, laughter, and unity even in the most challenging times.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Lynn and Paul Leight and the entire Leight family for their extraordinary support and for empowering the next generation through the Leight Legacy Heroes initiative.

To our host committee, generous sponsors, and everyone who joined us, thank you for standing with United Hatzalah and helping us continue saving lives every single day.

Ever wonder how United Hatzalah Ambucycles end up in the US? This is how.

Before they appear at parades, community events, and gatherings across the country, each Ambucycle is professionally customized by our incredible partners at Fame Auto Group.

While they may not respond to emergencies in the U.S., these Ambucycles carry something just as powerful: the stories of our 8,600 volunteer first responders in Israel and the lifesaving impact they make every single day.

Thank you to FAME AUTO GROUP for helping bring our mission to life and keeping our story rolling. 🧡

As part of United Hatzalah’s Ten Kavod program, volunteer EMT Bar Manshuri regularly visits Holocaust survivor Yeshaya Salem.

During one of his visits, Bar helped Yeshaya put on tefillin, something he had not been able to do on his own for some time. Yeshaya was moved by the moment and recited the blessings.

Ten Kavod is a unique United Hatzalah initiative in which our volunteer EMTs regularly visit elderly individuals, including many Holocaust survivors, to check on their health and provide companionship, care, and ongoing support.

Last week, United Hatzalah held a large-scale Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) drill in the Gaza Envelope, bringing together our volunteer first responders alongside the IDF, Israel Police, Fire and Rescue Services, local security teams, and residents, to train for the emergencies we hope never come.

For many participants, returning to these communities carried deep meaning. Through advanced training, coordination, and preparedness, we are ensuring that when the next emergency strikes, our volunteers are ready to respond within moments and save lives.

“I felt a great light was sent to me.”

Liat Sahar Hadar, a United Hatzalah medic, returned this week to volunteer shifts for the first time since her son Rotem, of blessed memory, fell in Gaza.

On her very first call back, she was dispatched to Rehovot to transport a baby to the hospital. Only there did she discover something deeply moving—the baby was the nephew of Sgt. Ehud Yaari, of blessed memory, recently killed in Lebanon.

Two bereaved families. One ambulance. One unexpected moment of connection.

“I felt as if Rotem and Ehud arranged this meeting,” Liat said. “I felt my son with me, giving me strength.”
Tears filled the ambulance as the families realized the connection, united in grief yet held by a shared sense of light.

A moment that reminds us how even in loss, acts of saving lives continue to carry meaning.

As Israel moves into emergency readiness following renewed Iranian hostilities, United Hatzalah volunteers have been assisting hospital and medical centers across the country with critical preparation efforts designed to help protect patients, medical teams and hospital operations.

According to recent Israeli media reports, hospitals nationwide have been instructed to relocate key operations and patient care to protected underground areas, mobilize personnel and prepare for rapid transition to emergency mode amid renewed ballistic missile threats from Iran. Several hospitals have begun moving patients, equipment and treatment areas into underground or reinforced spaces, while some elective procedures and non urgent services have been limited in order to preserve emergency capacity.

In response, United Hatzalah volunteers have been helping hospitals with logistical and operational support, including assisting with the movement of patients, relocating medical equipment, preparing protected treatment areas, supporting hospital staff and helping ensure that vulnerable patients can be moved safely and with dignity.

“United Hatzalah’s mission is not only responding to emergency calls,” said United Hatzalah Founder and President Eli Beer. “At moments like this, lifesaving also means helping Israel’s healthcare providers prepare for the emergency before the necessity arises. Our volunteers are assisting hospital staff prepare these underground wards in anticipation of moving patients to there.”
